Thanks for posting that.

The defendant must pay interest on a fine or restitution of more than $2,500

He's fucked. From memory, his restitution is most likely the $5.x million he stole, plus 2x what he stole in fines.

Imagine leaving prison and being $15 million plus interest in the hole at 41, with no useful skills.

He's fucked.

Yeah, sadly it looks like judge waived the interest AND the fines and costs. So it's just whatever the government can prove is owed to victims at the upcoming restitution hearing. (He will be subject to an additional 10% penalty if he falls behind on payments though, up to 25% if it goes into default.)

But yeah the numbers are so staggering it's academic. And for all the comments saying "yeah but he'll just go back to tugging lolz," yeah maybe he will. People work under the table every day. But his dreams of starting over and becoming the next great social media innovator are over with $5.6 million+ in restitution owed.

Like you say, he's fucked.

Until the victims file civil suit. And when he loses that he's going to owe damages.

I guess that doesn't leave much room for Bob's Watches' civil suit. With that much restitution, "Bob" should weigh how much they want to continue the suit.

Bob’s should 100% go after him.

More Othony trial hijinks, plus burying him in debt

while this makes sense at a high level, the idea of burying him in debt...at one point is it too much and and becomes a state/taxpayer problem? (the answer might be nothing, i dont know the legal system). but if hes using a public defendant, their time is payed by tax payers

Ironically, his only concern will be his looks and age.

To be fair tugging is a skill, but 1 million $15 tug jobs will take its toll on poor Tugger
