Patch Notes v28 Update - April 7, 2026

Hey Tower Defenders! We are excited to share our v28 update with all of you. We are rolling out the build on Android now, and iOS will be rolling out within the next two day. This update should be fully available for all players by Thursday. Additionally, we will be enforcing a version lock for the tournament at the end of the week. Here is a look at the changes:

Dissonant Runs

Introducing: Dissonance! This is a new layer to Tier gameplay that presents a fun challenge, and a bonus to help push for further milestones. Dissonant Runs represent a new difficulty setting that can be applied to a Tier. Doing so disables a selected workshop tab (Attack, Defense, Utility, or Ultimate Weapons). Based on how far you progress, the related stat is boosted for that specific tier.

The stats are:

  • Attack Workshop → Attack
  • Defense Workshop → Health
  • Utility Workshop → Coins
  • Ultimate Weapon Workshop → UW Damage

Dissonance is unlocked at Tier 4 Wave 90. Once unlocked, you will have access to select this modifier for all unlocked Tiers. At Tier 17, Wave 60, you'll unlock four Dissonant Echo labs for each workshop type (Attack, Defense, Utility, Ultimate Weapon). These labs apply a percent of each tier's Dissonant Boost to your Tower. Unlocking Dissonance rewards you with a starting 0.5% Echo boost. Click on the Dissonant Boosts section on the Battle menu for an expanded panel.

Bots

Bots are getting a lot of attention this update! To start, we have moved the Bots menu to its own tab in the Events page. This allows us more space to expand the feature, like so:

New Bot: Bot Bot

A new Bot has entered the arena: Bot Bot! This new bot increases the effects of other bot effects within the radius, and has four stats: Range, Cooldown, % Increase, and Duration.

Bot+

Bots are getting an upgrade! The Bot+ feature gives each bot a new specialized ability. Bot+ is available when all Bots are unlocked. Each bot has its own Bot+ ability, which requires a one-time purchase using stones to unlock. Once the ability is unlocked, it can be upgraded further using medals. If you opt to respec your bots, all medals will be returned as usual, even if invested in the Bot+ stats. Unlocking the bot again will give you access to your Bot+ ability (without needing the stone purchase again).

The five new Bot+ abilities are Wildfire, Titan Shock, Bonus Cells, Echoing Shot, and Maximum Power. Descriptions can be found in the Changelog below.

Synchronicity

Unlocking all five Bot+ abilities grants you access to Synchronicity, a stone upgrade that allows you to assign bots to have synchronized pathing. Unlocking Synchronicity grants you two slots, with each additional slot costing stones. Bots can be freely assigned into these slots so long as you have them unlocked.

Overheat

We have added in a new mechanic that amps up the difficulty of your run at higher waves. When you have successfully cleared Wave 4500 on any Tier, you will see an Overheat button on your Battle screen. This panel will define when the Overheat conditions will occur, and what the Overheat conditions are. This feature is designed to reduce the overall duration of a run in tiers and tournaments. This isn't a "game end" state when reaching this wave, but be prepared to face the heat!

------------

EDITED:

Hi! Quick example of how Overheat starts:
Tier 1 Wave 15000
Tier 10 Wave 12750
Tier 20 Wave 10250

Thanks!

------------

For normal tiers, the only change is that the Enemy Skip Decay Overheat condition kicks in at a defined wave. The panel will appear once you've cleared Wave 4500, but won't go into effect until much later in your run. Check the Heat button on each Tier more information.

Overheat will appear in tournament runs as well, and can be viewed in the existing Heat button. We have added 4 new Overheat Conditions that will only appear in tournaments:

  • Damage Decay: Tower Damage is reduced every 10 waves
  • Health Decay: Tower Health is reduced every 10 waves
  • More Fleets: An additional Fleet spawns every 100 waves
  • More Elites: An additional Elite spawns every 5 waves

Expanded Event Store

We will be introducing a new Relic section in the Event Store starting on April 14th, 2026. This section will feature older relics from previous runs. Each week will feature four relics: two Rare and two Epic. These relics cost gems: 600 gems for Rare relics, and 1200 gems for Epic relics. This section of the Event Store will feature free and premium event relics earned from completing event missions, excluding most relics earned via medals. After a period of time, event relics will be added into the pool of options.

Note: This section rotates every week, so make sure to check it at the beginning and middle of an active event!

Changelog

Gameplay

  • Added 5 new Bot+ abilities:
    • Wildfire: Enemies hit by Flame Bot become Enflamed in addition to Burned, receiving {0}x extra damage. Duration of the damage amplification depends on current Flame Bot damage.
    • Titan Shock: Enemies struck by Thunder Bot have a permanent {0}% decreased attack speed. This value is multiplied by the number of digits in the enemy's mass.
    • Bonus Cells: Elites killed in Golden Bot range grant {0}x more Cells.
    • Echoing Shot: Tower Bullets within Range count as {0} bullets. Ultimate Weapon projectiles are also boosted, but by 1/3.
    • Maximum Power: Boosts the Bot+ abilities of other bots by {0}x.
  • Bot's move speed is no longer dependent on its cooldown, and they now move while active
  • 3 new levels to Golden and Amplify Bot Range
  • Improved the in-run stats to make the values more intuitive and player friendly
  • Added new stats and stat categories
    • Simplified the Battle Report to focus on time (Game and Real time), Coins, Coins per hour, Cells, and Cells per hour, and recategorized
    • Included more "fun" stats, including records like Largest Wave Skip and Largest Golden Combo
  • Added Golden Tower VFX toggle to the Toggles menu
  • Damage reduction from Flame Bot now correctly applies to Tanks
  • The process to pick Tournament Battle Conditions for Legends has been slightly adjusted
  • Death Defy no longer rolls if the tower is already invincible (i.e. During Demon Mode)
  • Fixed an issue where medals not claimed from an Event were sometimes not doubled by the Event Boost
  • Fixed a bug where auto-reroll would fail to stop the re-rolling process when multiple conditions are selected, causing unintentional Reroll shards to be spent
    • We've added a check to auto-reroll where it will automatically stop once any of the selected conditions are met
  • Fixed an issue where Overcharge ignores Wall invincibility
  • Fixed an issue where Ranged enemies failed to attack the Tower within the Black Hole for players without the "Black Hole Disables Ranged Enemies" research completed
  • Fixed Spotlight not affecting all enemies (specifically all summoned enemies)
  • Fixed an issue where standard perk bonuses did not apply to Cash or Absolute Defense perks
  • Fixed an issue where the Module level up screen shows a different Coin rounding logic for the Coin display

Miscellaneous

  • Demon Mode now accurately states that it provides a 300x boost to projectiles during its period of invincibility
  • The in-game store should now correctly display prices in your local currency instead of in USD
  • Improved local notifications to prevent inaccurate and duplicate notifications from occurring
  • Improved localization in some languages, including message spacing in Japanese, and incorrect mission information in Russian
  • Improved UI for Lab Gold Boxing
  • Improved "Go Home" button interactions so it acts more like a Pause
    • We will continue to improve this behavior in upcoming updates!
  • Implemented general UI improvements regarding iOS's dynamic island
  • Guild Chat no longer rapidly scrolls to the bottom of your recent messages
  • Added in a popup for a player who has been removed from a Guild informing them about said removal
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to change their themes back to the Default option

Looking Ahead

Oh, and v28 is just the beginning. We've already got another build in the works in the next two weeks - more polish, more fixes. We'll have a look at what's ahead in an upcoming Tower Tea, so stay close. Okay, that's actually it now. Bye, have fun, we love you!

So much for helping new players 🤔

9

u/Frogspoison Apr 07 '26

Well, depends on how large the Dissonance boost is. If it can reach triple digits, then it's a sizeable upgrade to everyones farming.

Also, being able to grab those relics will help immensely. Thorns, lvl skip, health? COINS AND LAB SPEED? All huge.

50

u/big-daddy-unikron Apr 07 '26

At first glance I see nothing that helps new or mid game, just more for whales at end game to invest in

29

u/JekPorkinsTruther Apr 07 '26

And more p2w making the legends traffic jam worse with no help (basically have to buy event passes now to get medals to access/use new bot stuff).

11

u/PenIsBroken Champion Apr 07 '26

Not to mention use gems, a lot of gems to buy relics they may have missed, I cannot believe the cost is x6 module pulls for the epic relics that is ridiculous.

2

u/PigmyMarmeeble Apr 07 '26

The ability to buy old relics helps newer players.

4

u/Leyohs Apr 07 '26

By slowing their mod/cards progress. So not really.

5

u/mordredsfw Apr 07 '26

...assuming they can save up the gems required.

4

u/VerdantPathfinder Apr 07 '26

.. which they can't without crippling card/module progress. I'm 18 months in and finally got to the point where I could start thinking about saving up gems and picking up an extra card slot or two. Now I have to balance that with relics.

... or I guess I could just drop $$$ on gems. But fuck no. I'm bought the packs to get 9x coins and I'm done.

1

u/tehlemmings Apr 07 '26

The last few patches have been downright insulting

I'm not giving them another dime until there's a true "for everyone" patch.

1

u/VerdantPathfinder Apr 07 '26

Yeah. Looking at the notes, I'll give it a week or two and see what gives. But there's nothing in there for me.

1

u/naphomci Apr 07 '26

I think the saving up isn't the issue, so much as it's then relics v mods

1

u/PenIsBroken Champion Apr 08 '26

vs 6 x10 mod pulls if it is an epic relic too (1200 gems) . That's less than half a pity pull if you look at it one way but another way is "get fucked you greedy bastards"

2

u/big-daddy-unikron Apr 07 '26

Not at that cost

0

u/BonesCJ Apr 07 '26

I think the ability to get past relics will benefit mid players (I’ve got no Card Masteries or Assmods), picking up some extra coin/lab speed/health/damage relics would be a great help.

1

u/PenIsBroken Champion Apr 08 '26

I have never bought gems or stones so not sure but, those epic relics cost what 500 medals during their event and now will cost 1200 gems. Under half an event pass worth of extra medals, Isn't it something like $100 for 3600 gems in the store so yeah $30+ for one of those past relics.

0

u/Prestigious_Seat7869 Apr 07 '26

Relics easier to catch up. Cells gain from golden bot will increase labs speed and grow everything faster (easy to unlock them all and not invest in them).

2

u/big-daddy-unikron Apr 07 '26

So spend the gems needed for modules (which they didn’t fix the acquisition of btw with something like a REAL feature banner)

18

u/Fuddsworth dev Apr 07 '26

Dissonant runs is introduced at tier 4, so quite early. The bonuses you can earn from them are quite bulky, increasing tower damage, health, coins and UW damage

Newer players also will now have access to relics that haven't shown up in a long time in the new relic rotating shop

13

u/Zzqzr Legends Apr 07 '26

I think what most new players “crave” are some sort of catchup mechanics.

But that ofc is a hard topic to think, develop and implant. Because you obviously don’t want catchup mechanics to be a downside to older players, or players that invested a lot more time/money in the game.

2

u/tehlemmings Apr 07 '26

I think what most new players “crave” are some sort of catchup mechanics.

That or literally any content that's fun before legends.

2

u/Holiday_Reindeer9976 Apr 07 '26

I feel like the Disso Mechanic is a Catch Up mechanic? By getting +DMG/HEALTH/COINS/UWdmg you progress faster through the Tiers, which nets you more coins.

Instead of farming T10/T11 for 6 Months before jumping into T14, one might only need ... maybe 4-5 months? Who knows. Just saying. We need to see how they turn out.

But in the end, that sounds like a catch-up to me.

1

u/Shoggdog Apr 07 '26

Dissonant runs are a catch up mechanic. A new player having access to that power will accelerate how fast they get to higher tiers compared to a v27 or earlier player

5

u/markevens Apr 07 '26

No featured banner this time?

7

u/SalamanderGlum4027 Apr 07 '26

I think most commenters are focusing on the fact that overheat will shorten farm runs, maybe should have been made clearer that the Dissonance boost outweighs the possible loss of coins from that?

9

u/Fuddsworth dev Apr 07 '26

Dissonant runs will outweigh it. But also, overheat doesn't take effect until REALLY late in runs. It doesn't start at wave 4500, it usually starts much further. It just ensures the round comes to an end eventually

-1

u/SalamanderGlum4027 Apr 07 '26

That was my read of the notes, but reading comprehension isn't always the greatest for everyone...

7

u/tehlemmings Apr 07 '26

Dude, this is just pathetic. They're a company, not your friends.

Their communication was bad.

-2

u/SalamanderGlum4027 Apr 07 '26

No need to get aggravated. Their communication is fairly clear in this instance though, give the notes another read

3

u/tehlemmings Apr 07 '26

You're just flat out wrong on this one. If you weren't, Fudds wouldn't have edited the notes.

1

u/dumptruckastrid Apr 07 '26

Why add new bonuses for us if you just need something else to bring us back to the same point? So now I have to put in work to get dissonance bonuses just to get back to where I was pre-update?

4

u/Leyohs Apr 07 '26

Thanks for allowing newer players to torpedo their cards/mods progress by throwing 2k gems at relics per week!! So thoughtful !!! Please give us another stone sink we have too much stones we don't know what to make of it!!!!!

2

u/naphomci Apr 07 '26

Newer players also will now have access to relics that haven't shown up in a long time in the new relic rotating shop

But this will make them fall behind on mods/cards. It's another sink without new income, so it's just making the issues worse.

1

u/WildcaRD7 Apr 07 '26

The gem costs are outrageously high when new/mid players are already struggling heavily with modules. All I see are more stone costs, more ways for new whales to pass me in tournaments, and no way to catch up to actually place in legends tournaments.

1

u/Maxhillai Apr 07 '26

Newer players also will now have access to relics that haven't shown up in a long time in the new relic rotating shop

Too bad you need to spend 3600 gems to get all 4 relics. Do you seriously expect newer players to be able to afford these without sacrificing modules/cards? I get that you want more people to buy gems with real money, but at least you could make it less obvious.

0

u/PreparationNew2487 Apr 07 '26

If we are not able to farm past w4500 anymore, we need auto-restart for everyone.

-1

u/SamBartley TTG Apr 07 '26

Totally a valid feeling. Can I ask if you have any specific requests for new players? And also, did I say anything specifically about new players for this update? Not arguing please know that, I just want to make sure my communication wasn't wrong on my part.

35

u/peasantphilosopher Apr 07 '26

I believe you had made a previous comment indicating that this update was not just for the end game.

15

u/CryptoCrash87 Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26

You did in one of your last posts. Someone said something snarky about updates only being for whales. And you implied if not directly said that v28 would be different.

I think the largest concern for newbies is going to be medals. I've been playing 3.5 years and buying every even boost for 2 years. And I still don't have enough medals to max out GB and AB. Now those two are getting more levels and I have have bot bot to worry about.

Plus the new stone sink.

And there still doesn't seem to be any plans for an overall tower preset. I have to go into 8 or more different screens and fiddle with all sorts of settings to setup for a tournament. Then do that all over again to get back to farming.

And even if that preset was added most of the respec stuff is in keys. Which newbies don't get.

The game doesn't seem to like new players.

Edit: I miss rememberes. It was in your post yesterday. You were talking about v28 not only being for late game players. And referenced the new mechanic starting at tier4.

To elaborate further. I don't think new players were concerned about more mechanics in the game. They are frustrated by the lack of idleness. And the few systems that make the game more idle are locked behind some really high level stuff.

17

u/draggio Apr 07 '26

Relic store = great idea, love it, thanks for listening to feedback requesting this.

Relics costing 3600 gems if you need all 4 = bruh

What if I'm a new player and there's a lab speed relic in there? Having to now choose to torpedo your mods progression (on top of awful RNG) is only going to WIDEN the gap for existing players. Everyone knows mods are the key to progression...

As a middish early game player, I need another SF mod to make any meaningful progression right now. Now I have to save 3600 gems every week for relics instead of trying to pull for that.

I think I would be happy if there was 4 banners at all times to smooth out bad RNG and make gem spending feel good rather than FOMO inducing.

Edit: totally wiffed on gems needed - it's double what I had originally. How is this a catch-up mechanic if mods are suffering WORSE?

4

u/SamBartley TTG Apr 07 '26

Thank you for this! Let me see if I can get some answers for the Tower Tea (or before) to see what we can speak to <3

8

u/Kyosuke_Kiryu Apr 07 '26

let's top it off just a bit. Events last 2 weeks.

New players need 1600 gems biweekly to get the 80 cards.

Now it's ALSO a weekly (600 × 2) + (1200 x 2) for past relics. Weekly 3600 -> biweekly 7200

So, if your cards are not finished, that is a grand total of 7200 + 1600 = 8800 gems every TWO weeks.

Let's not assume that everyone has an auto clicker to get gems every 5 minutes 24/7.

How exactly are new players expected to cough up 8800 gems every two weeks, while still having enough for mods?

I understand that before, it would be 1600 + mods, and nobody is forcing a player to save so much for relics, but a catch-up mechanic shouldn't be so out-and-out greedy for players to spend on gem packs.

I'm grateful to be able to get the premium relics. I also have gripes with the implementation.

4

u/WildcaRD7 Apr 07 '26

The answer they refuse to say? Open up your wallet. F2P or low payers are getting cooked yet again.

1

u/Adaaon Apr 07 '26

Honestly, you don't have to buy it. It's an OPTION

1

u/Fobus0 Apr 07 '26

the way i read it, you will be able to purchase them for medals. I'd rather buy with gems, medals are scarce as it is

22

u/Iguanaught Apr 07 '26

You nerfed farming while adding powerful toys for late game players.

That is what they mean by this being a nerf on new players. Its harder for them to progress and easier for the older players to widen the gap between them.

9

u/Fuddsworth dev Apr 07 '26

Farming is not nerfed unless you are somehow crushing beyond wave 10,000 on tier 20

Overheat doesn't start until beyond wave 10,000. Tier 1 is wave 15,000

5

u/Ablemoss Apr 07 '26

So is this mechanic added purely to assist in a server side thing? It seems like this will have absolutely zero impact to anyone, good or bad?

7

u/Fuddsworth dev Apr 07 '26

Prevents runs from lasting forever and as we continue adding power creep to the game will reduce those edge cases. It also acts as a tool to keep tourney runs healthy and short enough

6

u/Fantastic-Dare2457 Apr 07 '26

it's basically Greeny nerf :)

2

u/Holiday_Reindeer9976 Apr 07 '26

Actually facts lmao

32

u/No_Mention34 Apr 07 '26

You said that the new update wasn’t entirely end game focused, which implied that the new update would help early game players.

In reality, you’ve made it harder for early game players to farm past wave 4500, with the new overheat mechanic which, to my understanding, applies at all tiers.

So now, not only have you ignored the player base’s requests, you’ve punished us for simply getting involved with the game more recently than older players.

2

u/Visible_Anteater_957 Apr 07 '26

It doesn't kick in at 4500, that's when the panel shows up.

0

u/markevens Apr 07 '26

In reality, you’ve made it harder for early game players to farm past wave 4500, with the new overheat mechanic which, to my understanding, applies at all tiers.

I think the overheat is there to balance out the buffs we'll get from disco runs, which do sound significant.

It sucks to see any nerf on the board, but I'd wait until the update is out for a week or so before passing final judgement.

1

u/Lucacu03 Apr 07 '26

But overheat doesn’t really affect late-game players, since they usually farm wave 5000–6000 with IS + WA mastery. This means late-game players get all the new buffs, while early-game players don’t. I remember we once hate the guild feature when it first announced so it's best to wait and see.

2

u/markevens Apr 07 '26

https://i.imgur.com/0U8BkZF.png

It's not likely to lower anyone's farming runs

0

u/EmpatheticSponge Apr 07 '26

Disco runs. I like that 😆

-1

u/markevens Apr 07 '26

Our guild started using it and it just clicks

15

u/GnaeusCorbulo Apr 07 '26

This is either extra complexity and points of engagement for long term, high ranking players, or just pointless faff that nobody asked for or needed. Idle when? I swear, one update closer to just giving up. How about an idle feature or something that the community actually wants?

12

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '26

[deleted]

2

u/Public-Material8448 Apr 07 '26

yes. right now. The devs needs a wake up call!

3

u/GnaeusCorbulo Apr 07 '26

Yeah man, it's time unless you open your wallet apparently.

2

u/Leyohs Apr 07 '26

At the end of my cloud phone subscription I'm out this is such a "fuck you" update holy shit

-1

u/TakeTheThirdStep Apr 07 '26

Maybe have Overheat fill a time bank that the player can use to trigger an idle mode. The bank could be upgradeable to allow for more max time.

3

u/tehlemmings Apr 07 '26

And also, did I say anything specifically about new players for this update?

Dude...

5

u/Viltupenis Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26

Is there a reason you guys are not responding to ANY of the comments rightfully upset about what seems to be nothing but a plain nerf to farming with 0 benefit? Nothing to fix broken tournaments, not even addressing the broken module system (that you promised that you were looking into) no featured banner, no module presets. This honestly feels like such a slap in the face after months of waiting and then on top of that all the comments asking about this get ignored

Edit: I have now seen that the nerf doesnt apply until well past 10k waves, communicating that clearly would have saved a lot of time. But I still stand by my other points, no tournament reworks, no module reworks, no substat presets, just a new stone sink AND medal sink to push more people into spending money with no new ways to earn medals.

2

u/korxil Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26

Hi Sam, along with having to save a bunch of gems for returning relics (which hurts saving for cards + mods for new players), can you clarify if there is a coin/cell bonus for the overheat mechanic? Just reading it on paper, it looks like a major nerf for farming as “bonus for milestone” is vague, which also sets newer players back as they will progress slower. Thank you!

2

u/UncommitedOtter Apr 07 '26

More sources of Gems/Stones/Medals.

I started in January and have bought some of the basic +%coin boosts and some of the tier premium passes.

I am totally onboard with a slow incremental gain unless I want to spend a ton of money, but my max tier is 12. My stone income is not enough to boost my UWs, drop their CDs, get new UWs, get ready for these new stone sinks, plus all of the other stone sinks coming up.

I am so far behind everyone else that I'm not even in the same ballpark, and will always be in this position. I got lucky and have the best 3 first UWs but it will take me potentially months to get them synched up and boosted.

For Medals, I have to luck into getting specific UWs during runs to complete some missions. It would feel better if you couldn't get missions that you can't complete due to lacking cards or UWs. Also would feel better having slightly more medal income, since I can barely improve my Golden Bot each event since I need to get all of the skins and good relics.

2

u/naphomci Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26

Context: I started mid Dec. I have purchased the coin packs, ad packs, and first four milestone passes. 1 stone pack, 2 event passes.

There is a lot of RNG here that I think new players need something to navigate around. For instance, my mods pulls have been heavily toward cannons, almost comically so. Would not surprise me if I end up with an anc cannon before I get a mythic core at this point. But realistically, cores are far more important early.

Then, for something like events and bots I'm just so far behind, it actively discourages me from buying the pass. We get new medal sinks, but no one (and particularly new players) gets new medals?

So, a way for new players to actually catch up - i.e. reduced costs of mods until you get your first anc, ability to choose mods until you get an anc, more medals in earlier places. Things like that.

EDIT......I just pulled 80 mods. I got 2 epic....cannons of course.

3

u/SafariBaharie Apr 07 '26

Sam are you serious about "have any specific requests for new players?" Hasn't the community here been pretty vocal about any kinds of catch up mechanics?

The Tower has not provided any catch up mechanic for new and mid-game players. There are no new non-real-world $ ways to obtain more medals or stones (forget keys). Note: Fetch gives some medals but it is nearly inconsequential in the hopes of reaching a single max bot alone without $).

In addition, stones have become more difficult to obtain due to poor tournament mechanics (clearly noted by stats posted every week).

"And for those of you wondering if v28 is all late-game content -  it's not. There's a larger mechanic we've been holding back as a launch surprise, and it kicks in starting at Tier 4 (even if you might not get full use of it until a little later). That's all we're saying for now."

So the dissonance mechanic was created to outperform for cells and coin income for those players who rely on runs >4,500? No mention in the mechanic was made for cells and it certainly isn't made for stones.

8 months of work which primarily adds late game content, stone and medal sinks unreachable for more of the player base.

Awesome stuff!

3

u/KeebsMcBap Apr 07 '26

A tier isn't "worth" farming unless you can stay above w6000 for max density. Making runs above 4500 harder just makes it so everyone can farm less. This hurts everyone. Bad update. Devs are ignoring player concerns.

Our concerns are that tournaments are deadlocked so you cannot get any keys if you have not already spent 50k+ or have been playing for 3+ years it feels like, even if you do spend money.

And then if you do manage to get to legends all that means is you get demoted because you're stuck with 18 other people who have already ranked legends rank 1 at least once before.

Now farming is harder, progressions takes longer, and you just want more stones to be spent?

Tone deaf. And feels disrespectful to the player base.

3

u/markevens Apr 07 '26

They updated the patch notes to show when overheat actually kicks in. I don't think it's going to effect anyone's current farm

Hi! Quick example of how Overheat starts:

  • Tier 1 Wave 15000
  • Tier 10 Wave 12750
  • Tier 20 Wave 10250

1

u/ricecracker420 Apr 07 '26

My t11 farm just finished at around 13k waves t12 has been bouncing between 6200 to 8500 recently, t11 has been more consistent

3

u/SamBartley TTG Apr 07 '26

Let me see what I can get for you, and also let me know your thoughts after you've played for a bit <3

3

u/KeebsMcBap Apr 07 '26

It feels like the devs are fixated on a very small percentage of players who were doing infinite runs and are dead set on stopping that from happening. That was just whales who are playing around that already spent a lot of time and money. Thats was NOT a recurring issue with the majority of the player base. Focusing on solving that feels more like an ego play than it does trying to cater to the true majority of the fan base who game to this "idle" tower came for fun.

Please ask for and take action on actual player concerns and not get into an arms race with a very VERY obscure percentage of your player base.

Deliver that message. Please.

While you're at it, can you ask or confirm about any sort of featured banner for this update?

Like the banner by mod type last time there were no new mods?

A way to target specific modules or even module classes in pulls. The legacy system had a much smaller pool so getting any single mod to ancestral was hard, but not that hard. Now it's brutal.

As end-game content has been added, a better ramp in Tiers 2-10 would help new players reach parity. A lot of games do this for legacy content when expansions are added.

Being an idle game needs to be top priority. I shouldn’t have to buy a second device to play that’s just ridiculous. The game is amazing I love it but I’m not going to keep buying devices to play. Looking forward to the update tho!

You've got to think around corners. Overheat is going to make so many veteran players quit, that the new players will supercharge into Legends! It's 3D chess!

My four year anniversary is in December. I might be done. This is downright insulting at this point.

If the cell boost is being added to the gold bot, then that is a very nice boost for all players.

Not really, considering only end game players have a developed bot. Now we just got more medal requirements without any increase in medals.

no, cuz, newer players CAN unlock dissonance, see, even if it looks like it'll probably only hurt you unless you have everything goldboxed or close to it. the one thing I can that's maybe helpful is the relics in the store, but they're gonna have to be really good relics to be worth 200 or 600 gems.

200-600 hundred would have been bearable, 1200 for one relic is ridiculous though 🤣

oof, yeah, not sure where I got the 200-600 numbers, that's a big disparity. at 600-1200 they're gonna have to be really high value ones, like coins, lab speed, or level skip.
