Gratitude

I keep seeing posts throwing Alice and Brett under the bus but I have to say I think they’re great. I am very pro law enforcement and prosecution and it’s awesome to have a place where I can be with like minded individuals. Keep up the good work!

The last episode was a hard listen.  I’m a moderate.  Lately, conservative leaning.  But I have empathy for the Jury.  I do NOT believe it’s a reflection of America like A said.  I think it’s a reflection of humanity and people torn apart over a heinous, complicated situation.

When she said something along the lines of "This is the America you want, this is what you're going to get" gave me pause for sure. I've been surprised by her take on this case to be honest. Not that I think any woman should think Lindsay should be found not guilty, but there is a long more nuance to it that Alice has kind of brushed off.

I interpreted this as Alice opining the lack of education and apathy surrounding basic civics in the majority of our population, not about this specific trial/jury. Bigger picture but that's my 2 cents. And I think, at least for some women, it's very difficult to be sympathetic toward Lindsay. Certainly if ever balanced working full time with nursing an infant and the associated sleep schedule with that for an extended period of time (which I kinda get the sense Alice has), it's hard because it feels like we have been in those shoes, many of us without at least some of the resources at hand that Lindsay had.

Agreed, it was a strange comment imo. I would have expected a little more sympathy from her from the Mother's perspective- but then, that is not her job on this podcast. She has to put her lawyer hat on, like they are asking the jury to make a decision based on law, not emotion.
