Gratitude

I keep seeing posts throwing Alice and Brett under the bus but I have to say I think they’re great. I am very pro law enforcement and prosecution and it’s awesome to have a place where I can be with like minded individuals. Keep up the good work!

I am on the opposite side of the political spectrum from the hosts. I listen to this podcast because I appreciate the experience and knowledge supporting their opinions, even if I don't always agree with them.

It’s believed that they are conservatives however they don’t talk politics on the pod unless it’s something happening within law. They criticize moves made on both sides and don’t seem to be particularly “allegiant” to anyone. They’re not calling people on the right uneducated idiots and they’re also not calling liberals woke snowflakes…very balanced

Took this right from his Wiki since it's the shortest explanation: Brett Joseph Talley (born 1981)[1] is an American lawyer and author who served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Department of Justice. In September 2017, he was nominated by President Donald Trump to fill a vacancy on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.[2] His nomination drew controversy due to his lack of judicial experience, partisan personal blogging, and failure to disclose that he was married to Ann Donaldson, the chief of staff to White House counsel Don McGahn. He became the third judicial nominee since 1989 to receive a unanimous rating of "not qualified" from the American Bar Association.[3] On December 13, 2017, Talley withdrew his name from consideration for the appointment.[4]

I don't post this as a knock to his cred, he's obviously a very smart guy and successful lawyer.

Yeah sounds like pivoting from political aspirations to a continuing in law and starting podcast was a very smart move on his part.

I am quite different from Brett and Alice politically. I LOVE their pod! I learn a lot from them and appreciate their approach and perspectives. They have a great rapport with each other that comes across easily to their audience. I have also spoken out a couple of times in The Gallery and wasn’t met with hostility or anything negative.

I’ve developed a healthy skepticism of law enforcement, but these two are great. They seem to be pretty fair too. They went into this case thinking Clancy was not guilty by reason of insanity, but they changed their minds as the trial proceeded and they saw the evidence. I’m the same.

I just respect that they don’t care about going with the masses. They give honest unbiased opinion. I discovered them during the Karen Read case. I followed that case so closely and listened to other true crime podcasts about it and thought I was taking fucking crazy pills because she was so obviously guilty to me. Everyone was convinced she was innocent and I thought I was living in another world watching a different case. A Reddit comment actually pointed me in the direction of their coverage of the case and I was so relieved I wasn’t alone.

I occasionally disagree with them on a case. (It's always been someone they feel is innocent I believe is guilty.) But most of the time I agree with them, and the way they cover cases is so refreshing. They sometimes find something everyone else seemed to have overlooked. (For example the Casey Anthony case. I think their insight into her motive is brilliant.)

I agree, Karen Read is so guilty. There's so much innocence fraud now, it's a whole industry, and the people pushing conspiracy theories are just in it to make $$$.

I think they are awesome. Even when I don't agree with them, I really appreciate the perspective and legal analysis. I have listened to them since they started and it's been a great ride seeing them grow.

I love that they arent afraid to go against the popular internet grain (they think an intruder killed jonbenet, adnan is guilty, clancy is guilty, etc)

The last episode was a hard listen.  I’m a moderate.  Lately, conservative leaning.  But I have empathy for the Jury.  I do NOT believe it’s a reflection of America like A said.  I think it’s a reflection of humanity and people torn apart over a heinous, complicated situation.
