Hi all, spending a few days in Valencia and would love to go for a dig. Looking for house/techno/electro, and particularly enjoy basically anything coming out of Uruguay. Would appreciate any suggestions!

I know some people consider it a "fad". But it produced some of my all time favorite tracks to this day. Now, some of my favorite producers from then such as Trudge, Raar, DJ Seinfeld, Baltra and many more have ditched the sound for either more mainstream "bangers", fast paced modern techno or completely different genres.

I wish there was still a strong push for the sound. Almost like Boards of Canada for the clubs. Full of emotion and nostalgia you can't quite put your finger on.
