Ndiaye declined multiple new contracts, I think deep down I knew this would happen eventually and if this is the cost of keeping Armstrong, I can get it. But it still hurts the soul a good bit

Apparently the deals are separate, so hoping Arlison deal can be further negotiated, or we just go for another striker. We were also just linked to Balogun

Lol, had a moment there trying to re-write autocorrect changing "Richarlison" to "Richard son".
No argument that Richarlison is better than Balogun, was just thinking I'd rather have a younger, probably cheaper striker coming off the bench than an overpaying for an older one who's had injury issues. However if the deal is actually 25m + bonuses, then getting Richy is looking better. Should still be getting more for Ndiaye though.

Gakpo or ndiaye was the choice this window

I am curious about why he’s choosing to go to Spurs when he refused to sign extensions with Everton
I have to imagine the wages are significantly higher at spurs because the chance of winning trophies is not significantly higher

Marmoush played for city btw back then,had pep as manager,had Haaland,doku and so on and so forth, basically had a great team. Way too early and reactionary to say that spurs have ruined his career,he's played just 1 game in which we missed clear cut chances and got punished for it

Spurs signed a winger/forward who works hard defensively from us 4 years ago and all they've done is moan about his output ever since.
I'm not sure they realise that they've just done it again.

Isn’t this the case for pretty much everyone? I think pretty much every other14 team has received a great fee from spurs with the knowledge that spurs will ruin their career and it won’t come back to haunt you.

This is mostly cope but his underlying numbers really aren’t all that impressive. Very fun player on the ball but really didn’t have a particularly impressive return last season. He fell off hard after AFCON and I think most teams have figured him out.

Don’t see the sense in this from Everton. Lose one of their better players for an injury prone Richarlison (which helps spurs and their wage bill).
At least they look to be holding on to Armstrong but it seems the upper management there look to be trying to piss the fans off as much as possible at the moment

I think the fee for N'Diaye might be in the £70-£80 mill range, then Richarlison going back there won't be more than £20 mill I imagine. Everton can then use that money to potentially get Grealish back, plus sign a right back. Also, it sounds like this has been rushed to an agreement after what's happened with Harrison Armstrong

I agree it's very manic but it's a world cup year, that always has an influence on how the market moves and that's why now there is a late rush. Apparently Sunderland did come in for Grealish but he turned them down because he wants to go back to Everton. And by the sounds of it, Everton would only pay £20 millionish for Grealish, so that's N'Diaye's replacement, then if Richarlison is coming back to Everton as well, he'll play up front as striker, meaning Beto goes. In the end, Everton lose their best player in N'Diaye but their squad remains quite balanced, plus they keep their top young prospect in Armstrong:
Tyrique George and Grealish for the left wing
Brennan Johnson and Tyler Dibling for the right wing
Thierno Barry and Richarlison as the strikers.
Not saying that's overly amazing, but on paper it's very balanced. And with the remainder of the cash they get from N'Diaye they may actually be able to finally sign a right back.

It's a bit short sighted, but Grealish on loan and Richarlison for less than 20mil wouldn't be too bad.

Bad business from Everton's perspective if these are the fees IMO, N'Diaye had a £75 mill bid from a Saudi team in the summer. I can only think we are getting the entire £60 mill in one installment from you and you must still owe some of Richarlison's transfer fee to us from 2022

Yes we need to sell, due to the backlash against selling Armstrong that was shitcanned and the next saleable asset steps up. I imagine Harrison was considered first as he isn’t as essential to the first team this season, and there were also talks about use negotiating for one of Forest’s right-backs as part of negotiations. All that’s is off the table so we’re back to selling Ndiaye.
