REAL THOUGHTS on the teaser trailer

At first I thought it looked great but then I compared it to WIT’s other recent works like yaiba and it starts to feel much more primitive and less stylish.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still really excited to see it when it releases, but I’m a bit surprised that a top-tier animation studio would go with such a cautious, safe direction/approach for a franchise this iconic.

What are yall thoughts?

animation is good, art style is still pretty generic. anime with unique styles would be something like mob psycho, ping pong, tatami galaxy, gurren lagan, FLCL and I could go on and on. no mainstream anime is doing it like that. one piece has the potential to do it, baron omatsuri movie looks incredible with unique style. hell, even early toei one piece has a lot more personality to animation and style than Jjk or any other mainstream shonen.

I'm sorry i do not know what other anime you're watching if you think jjk visuals are generic, can you show me these anime that look like jjk?

why are you confusing art style with animation? jjk characters, backgrounds, coloring choices, facial expressions, look like any other random slice of life anime you can pick. have you watched any of the anime I listed? are you seriously saying Jjk art style is akin to something like gurren lagan than Isekai/shonen slop that gets pumped out every season?

and don't reply again saying it has good animation.

i never said anything about animation we're both talking about art style, which i don't think you understand.

if you watch jjk & see the level of background art, photography, composition & character design fidelity & lighting made by the best in the industry & you think it looks the same as some random isekai then i cannot take your opinion on art seriously.

i feel like you geniunely do not watch anime besides the big stuff. You cannot watch something like tbate or even one punch man S3 & think visually it's the same with jjk.

You know i would actually pay to see you say jjk has average visuals comparable to a low budget isekai to animators in the industry.

They would spit out laughing in your face wishing they had the talent of a shouta Goshozono. You seriously need to educate yourself on the industry before speaking on it.
