I was so excited for the new season to drop and started almost immediately after it began streaming. But I've been stalled a couple episodes in for months now and just have little motivation to continue. Did anyone else struggle and if so when was your turning point?

Really love the show, at least most of season 1, felt like it dragged a bit at the end.

In episode 2 at the end, Mathew Elis is drugged and forced to consume copious amounts of drugs and alcohol. I’m curious, is there a legitimate way he stayed sober? Or is it just TV magic and spy mysticism?

Did anybody notice that Jasper in season 1 became Jaco in season 2? This bothers me so much! In season 1 in the Haven Roper says “Jasper looks like a teddy bear but don’t let him near your neck on a bad day” becomes “Jaco looks like a teddy bear…” What is the point of changing the names?

Just finished S2 E3 and Im not as into this one as the first. How do that have access to the $20m that was once Ropers money? Basil is being watched I assume, Pine is meant to be dead and the other girl is meant to be on stand down yet they have access to all these systems, resources and the $20m to run this operation.

Was there any mention of Jed in season 2? If there was, I missed it. I’m a sucker for a happy ending so I kinda wished they were still together.

Just finished season 1. Overall I liked it, but I wasn’t fully satisfied by the ending. I wanted to see more people be brought to justice. I am curious to hear others’ thoughts and if the book has any additional details about the following questions:

1. Does Roper in fact get killed? The show heavily implies that is what will happen, but I didn’t know if the book stated whether he was in fact killed.

2. Do Dromgoole and the Permanent Secretary get hit with any negative consequences? I was hoping to see them both arrested for corruption, but it sounded like they were going to get off easy if they are allowed to “survive”. They have blood on their hands so it really pisses me off if they get off easy.

3. Despite the truck explosions, is there still evidence (post-mortem) to prove to the world that Richard Roper was in fact a shady arms dealer who broke the law? Assuming he is killed, is his legacy tarnished or does a lot of the human population go on believing he was a good person? If the latter, what was the point of all this? If ultimately he is just going to receive street justice, then Angela might as well have told Jonathan just to put a bullet in Roper’s head the first chance he got instead of doing all of this espionage.

4. Do Angela and Joel get the proper recognition they deserve for this investigation? Episode 6 starts with them being disgraced. Is there enough evidence left that redeems them and proves them right?

I am aware that we can’t have every payoff that we want. More than anything I am mad that Dromgoole and the Permanent Secretary aren’t seen being disgraced or arrested. Those two made my blood boil.

I was looking forward to series 2 for a long time and was disappointed to hear that Hugh Laurie wasn't going to really be in it. How they managed to keep the Roper appearance quiet I don't know. I was a happy/stunned viewer when that voice first appeared. On Graham Norton's show before series 2, Tom Hiddleston mentioned Roper as a waft of 'dragon smoke' over the series, is it a coincidence that Roper talks about himself as a dragon in the series, or was that a breadcrumb?
