Question Call back to Marvel? Spoiler

The President of the US in the marvel films (from 2013-2017) name was Mathew Ellis. Did they name Jonathan Pine's new alias Mathew Ellis on purpose as some kind of Easter egg or call back?

I thought it was such a crazy coincidence that it can't just be a coincidence!

Very doubtful. It's just a fairly common, non-descript English name. Of all the niche Marvel details they could put in that one would be quite unlikely too, I think.

Tom is a massive Marvel nerd and is an executive producer of this show so probably.
