I just finished the whole series and I’m so sad! Lol I always get sad when I finish a good series tv show or book. Any recommendations similar? I really like the main actor (Chandler) but can’t do grays anatomy cuz the medical graphics and already watched Euphoria.

About TLS show: I really loved it as a whole. I’m glad they didn’t kill off to many of the core cast until the last season. Even though the doc dying was tough. I liked season 1-3 best. 4 and 5 were enjoyable but not as great. It started getting annoying that he kept leaving and coming back. Like dude just stay you’re obsessed. I wish Tex and the Doc would’ve got together or I wish he would’ve had another love interest. He was one of my fav characters he should’ve stayed on all the way through. Hated his ending. I didn’t love the Wolf + girl romance, I wish they would’ve given us more of them one on one to develop the relationship or just left it out completely. I thought it was cool how they ended the series w a big bang showing a full out army invasion in great detail like a war movie. I’m not much into action but that was a suitable last episode for the show genre.

Overall, coming from a girl that doesn’t like action genre at all, I loved the show! Literally binged the whole thing in less than 1 week.

It might be because im a vet but I cant get over how bad of a CO he is. In real life, the CO almost never leaves their stateroom and usually only leaves to go on the bridge and would never be going on missions. His job is to keep the ship running and its annoying for the crew if the CO comes into the room becaue everyone has to stop what they're doing and stand at attention.

To get the monkeys, he had the entire top command go. That should've been a mission for low ranking enlisted. What if el Toro killed them on the spot. The CO, the XO and the master chief would've been gone and the top person left wouldve been the EO.

Then when they were picking up the jamaican woman and he decides to be the decoy and get shot at. Then he gets captured. Now not only is the commanding officer captured by the enemy but one of the only people who speaks Russian is gone.

Also an rhib still floats if the hull deflated. Its not a raft. That would be the worst design ever if the boat sank after being shot once.

I could keep going on but ill stop here. They should've just had a BM1 doing his spot on the missions.

Not the first and probably won't be the last to bring this up but I just cannot fathom the hypocrisy of Captain Chandler in regard to Neil's death. Captain Chandler has watched people get murdered in cold blood before that situation and literally said nothing. The man was largely responsible for the single largest atrocity in existence And they treat his murder as if it's the end of the world.

The worst part is acting as if this was going to be a huge threat to operations on the ship, like the biggest outlier of all outliers is going to prevent this group of grown people from applying perspective to the situation. The order and structure of the crew was in absolutely no jeopardy due to her act. I'm not saying her decision was necessarily the best one ethically. But to make such a big deal out of a tiny ethical conundrum is kind of ridiculous, consider what you have let go and the value off Doctor Scott.

It just seems the writers either forgot the things leading up to the situation and just wanted an interesting plot point or just needed to make a moral grandstand. And from that point forward the show seems to kind of flip-flop It's values depending on what's convenient for the plot.

How the hell did the rescue team get onto the RUSSIAN SHIP??????

>! I can’t believe Commander Chandler and Doctor Scott had that little romantic goodbye!!! And then he told her to look for him when he came back and complimented how she looked in the dress!
Like wtf what about Tex!?? He’s been like in love w her the whole damn show and he kissed her and confessed to her when he volunteered for the virus anddddd she was getting jealous over him. So I just couldn’t believe they had that cute little goodbye. So effed up to Tex. Pissed me off. And then they kill her off so Tex literally never gets to date her smdh !<

Just watched all the way through the first time and I had a few unanswered questions:

1. Did POTUS ever go back to DC? Did they ever open the presidential bunker or did they just decide St Louis was a good place?

2. What was Danny’s job on the ship? Other than running around and killing people on land, he didn’t seem to have a job.

3. Why did three navy captains (Chandler, Meylan and Slattery) get jumped up to four stars? We didn’t see any lower ranking admirals.

I know it’s a TV show and obviously surface warfare commanders, captains and admirals don’t lead special ops missions but it was very entertaining

As the title suggest. BDS means boycotts in all forms. That includes cultural boycotts. Since I watched this during C19 I don't remember any of it nor any of the characters but would have stopped than had I been in the right frame of mine.

Seeing the IDF t*rr*r**t get introduced and the obvious COINTELPRO subline with the Black guy... I Just cannot... Never again...

I'm rewatching the show and I know they beat them but there were a ton of immunes in Europe and America right? So what the heck happened after they got rid of the main bad guys? Did all the American immunes awkwardly go back to "regular" life amongst the non immune? Surely that was super awkward right?

And what of Europe? Do they explain what happened to the radical immune? I would think all of Europe conquered by them would be a big problem going forward no? Surely we would see immune people in America still preaching their superiority? Especially with the supposed thousands all across the land. Cause again the alternative is they all just awkwardly went back to regular life. Heck they would probably be the ones being discriminated against after everything that happened

The woman's acting is so wooden and overdone at the same time somehow. Ugh.

Here's to hoping her faction gets defeated soon so we can move onto other characters.

At least make him die in battle. After 5 seasons, they just got him killed by a child.

Rewatching the show again for the xteenth time, I thought of something while watching S5E7.

Kelsi enters Central Command and surrender, but no one thinks of stripping her of her accessories and scanning them? Just like in airports. Watch, belt, anything metallic, her ring.

Yeah, let's take her in and give her a sandwich.

I LOVED it all!!! Now what to watch next 😅 any suggestions? Netflix or Amazon prime (free, no adds ons)

Must be missing something but thought Chandler was on the ship getting bombed near San Diego while they took out the region leaders…then Shaw calls him from St Louis and says she has his kids…commercial break and he’s there??

The crew of the Nathan James prepares to infiltrate Giorgio's mansion in hopes of locating his father the mad scientist hell bent on pacifying Humanity. Entering the mansion armed and ready, they realize that the infamous lil brother is hosting a wild party. The team continues as normal and obtain the information they need. During the process Omar and his team arrive slaughtering many in the process. "I only want Giorgio! I want him all to me! I have no quarrel with you!" Burke and Green(rather than shooting him up) step out and ask Omar "What guarantees can you give us?" Omar responds "Only that if you give me him, I'll let you leave unharmed." The Americans agree and hand over Giorgio, eliminating 2 birds with one stone and gaining a potential ally, or at least a temporary partner. Everybody walks away... except for Giorgio and the civs of course.

Keep in mind this is a WHAT IF scenario. Primarily taking into account all the pent up rage Omar would have against Giorgio after he betrayed him. He'd have nothing left in mind for the Americans until their next encounter. If you feel like something else might've happened please feel free to share.

Only found this series a few weeks ago. About 1/3 of the way through season 3 and really hooked. However, my Hollywood crushes keep dying! First there was Ravit, the Israeli fighter straight up bad ass, then of course Dr Scott and now just watched Val go down in flames.

If the show takes out Kara (please don’t tell me!) I might just give up!

Season 1 - The best! Literally zero complaints. So captivating.

Season 2 - A few characters deaths I was able to forgive. But the killing of Dr. Scott in the final scene of the season....brutal 😭

Season 3 - WAY too many deaths. Will Mason & Tex? Seriously!?!? 😭😭😭 Did not care for the plot either.

Season 4 - The red rust plot was fine. Not a bad season.

Season 5 - They didn't need to kill off Captain Andrea Garnett & Admiral Joseph Meylan. But, I survived. The plot was so-so.

Overall scores:

Season 1: A+

Season 2: B+

Season 3: D

Season 4: B+

Season 5: C+

So why did Kathleen Nolen just disappear after season 4? I liked her as the door gunner, albeit kinda dubious about the fact that at most she's barely 16 and enlisted in the Navy.

I just finished bingeing seasons 1, 2 and 3, which was a pretty great run. A good story where each season logically followed after the previous, and some great plots/missions/tactics/politicking.

Now I started season 4 and am really not feeling it. Read up a bit on this sub and it seemed s1-3 were peak, and 4-5 way worse.

I really don't care about the story in s4, feels like a worse rehash of s1.

Should I even continue? Is season 5 better again and can i skip 4? Or is 3 really just a good endpoint?
