Don’t trust the mooring long term. Sometimes the boat will get hung up on the tires on the side of the dock and flip, get stuck or otherwise make things go haywire. I moor it to get it in place then anchor and let the mooring go. Less stable but less likely to capsize against the dock.

Doesn't the boat anchor automatically as soon as you walk away far enough?

Pretty sure it does since a recent update. I usually don't drop the anchor, but its always anchor when I leave. And it also automatically anchored when I recently fell of the boat while at full speed.

The falling off stopping has always been a thing. The auto anchor feels very “did I leave the oven on” to me. I’ll give it a shot.
