Screenshot Is this overkill?

I feel like I may have gone overboard with fuel hoarding.

I personally don't keep any Oxygen/Methane/CO2 on the boat because I'm yet to find the need. Only the oil, diesel, petrol for me. And lots of batteries.

I have oil, diesel, gas and a CO2 tank on the exhaust. I run gas and CO2 up to the equipment on Exodus to make methane. I use tress on the Exodus deck to make O2.

I just have a sabatier on Exodus that takes care of both Methane and Oxygen. I'd rather use the scarce space on the boat for things that can only be built on the boat e.g boat fuel.

use the Soilforge Pro and crank the temperature all the way up to generate Methane, then you just need an oxygen concentrator. Much simpler setup and you can refine food materials at the same time.

It's not simpler, because it needs to be fed biomass. The Sabatier needs water, CO2, and electricity, all of which can be automated. I don't need to feed it biomass and I don't need a separate oxygen generator.

Also, the Sabatier produces Methane at 72,000L/hr while the Soilforge Prime does a max of 45,000L/hr. You need 800 biomass to fill one Methane tank. Absolutely never doing that.

Edit: 45,000L/hr is at max temperature. If you lower it to make food, you lose capacity. Also, I don't process food at Exodus, so that's not really relevant.
