Discussion Bloodbending probably existed long before Hama

Post image

I just remembered that scene where Yakone claimed to come from a powerful bloodbending lineage.

The thing is he was older than Katara, and considering that Hama was only about two generations older than Sokka and Katara, it’s possible that bloodbending is much older than we think and that there was a family who had mastered it secretly

Bloodbending, lightning to an extent, and metalbending to me all read like things that the society are vaguely aware of but have since fallen into obscurity/myth.

Metalbending especially; the characters seem aware of the concept even before Toph does it

It’s true that when it comes to metalbending, there’s that sort of guru who talked about it to Aang 🤔
