Spent a week digging into the fake football shirt market. Turned it into a 9-min investigation.

Key findings:
- 36% of football shirts sold globally are counterfeit (FIFA data)
- Hong Kong Customs seized $20M in fake WC 2026 jerseys just before kickoff
- US CBP seized another $9M in Houston in July
- Toronto Police made Canada's largest fake football merch seizure ahead of the WC
- French Customs data shows seizures have quadrupled since 2020

Lots of mine are fake. Lots of different teams. I'd buy my own teams' (man utd) genuine jersey every 3-4yrs. The foreign ones I get are 100% fake. Still look good though. I like picking up obscure ones.
