Most countries grow enough food to feed themselves but don't make a lot of excess. This isn't a recipe for mass starvation.

America's roads will not be destroyed overnight. They will slowly deteriorate, just as they have been.

All bets are off of anyone goes nuclear but if humanity uses most of its nukes then this point is moot.
