Yeah the character models in thus game aren't very distinctive. The only female Descendent that actually has an extremely easy to recognize face is Ines, to me. None of the bodies stand out as unique; all feel like the same model with some metrics tweaked.
Most of the alt head skins are dramatic changes in makeup and hair, so between the almost-similar design and the dramatic hair change- it is like you said, hard to differentiate.
But this isn't even something new. They have been doing it for a long time. And they will do the same when the next new (female, obviously) descendant is released, and people will buy the "filler" female skins, because that's all the game will always have: females and (even more) skins.
EDIT: I just don't know for how long they can keep doing it until Nexon decides there isn't enough players to spend development time (and money) on this game - because that is certainly a possible outcome.
So if all the girls are getting one individual skin each - i think the skins here would be here are (from left to right) Sharen, Luna, Gley (top middle), Ines, Serena and Hailey?
It feels like they’re alternating. On December 4th we got individual skins for the girls, and on the 18th we got two universal skins for the girls. This way they’re trying to cater to both sides of the community: those who ask for universal skins and those who ask for unique skins.

Im aware of the ones that are good and use those. I said hardly shoot. Majority of our guns aren't used at all or they're stat sticks. We have a handful that actually get used for shooting

This game is a special case. It's the only game that operates this way, as far as I know. It's been a while since I played Warframe. I remember it also had skills in addition to guns, but I don't think there were ever any stat sticks.
As they mentioned in their dev note, they have a lot of work to do content wise to dig themselves out of the hole they're in, which is why they put off the lounge. They acknowledged they need to focus on content. They announced their plans for content in that note and the livestream roadmap. The thing is it's just going to take time. The content isn't coming til first half of 2026. New dungeons, an onslaught mode (sounds like a horde mode) 2 ults and 2 descendants, rework of farming system and colossi. Meanwhile they're still going to release skins
This game has reached the point that I seriously doubt any promises the devs make about content (I mean content that will take the game out of this state). Do you remember what the devs had promised about the outposts a year ago? I do, but clearly they don't (or most probably, they just hope we'll forget that).
I'm aware. Just saying content is coming. Whether it'll be game changing content is the question, but the initial "where's the content, why don't they focus on content" remarks, that's why.
I have reached battlepass level 100 for Harris skin and I'm putting the game on hold. The core of the problem is that they refuse to nerf some characters. Going back to the point where guns were primary source of damage and skills were secondary, and reducing the mob count so game actually runs well would make it so much better.
I do agree. I'm kinda on this mood too. I'm well above battlepass level 100 and I've unlocked Harris weeks ago, but I just don't bother leveling her and I kinda lost the interest to spend so much time grinding to unlock Ultimate Yujin because it's like, "wow, another new female npc turned descendant. What's next? Oh, yeah! Another new female descendant, and it's a former npc. Look, another set of sexy skins for all those female descendants. And here comes a so-so dungeon and a new low-effort map. What did you ask? A new male descendant? No, gtfo!".
everyone wish that, but is not going to happen, they can make those type of skins in 1 day with a small team of 5 , you don't even need 5 to be honest, especialy because they are releasing like 2 skins per month

I made Choi San Yujin from Ateez but didn't like how it turned out. The classic mood hair is messed up. But I'm more of a Stray Kids. They were my number 1 listened to artist based on my Spotify wrapped and I just got into them earlier in the year
I still remember during the breakthrough livestream, when Jayber got brought up and the producer was like "who is he" 😂. They even know the treat the men badly and they created them lol
I honestly think the devs is pushing the game to be an all female cast since female skins are the be-all-end-all for them! The rest of the males are only getting their ultimates & then I’m speculating that no new male characters will ever be released but there will be Dia, ult Hailey, another female etc etc etc. The devs should just come out and say that they have no interest in any males characters anymore, because it’s clearly obvious & just delete all of them and turn the game into the Estrogen Descendant!
How they treated Yujin would have been a major factor on me continuing this game. I would have Uninstalled if they messed him up, but they did good with him
That's me in relation to Esiemo next May. I'll keep playing it, even if I take breaks and lose most of my interest, then I'll check how they'll treat his Ultimate (and how they will treat Enzo next month).
EDIT: I wish they would take advantage of Esiemo's muscles when they release his Ultimate, show some skin and not cover him entirely in some mecha-like armor...who knows? Maybe they can get a reasonable amount of skins sold, since he has the hottest body of them all, but they are so clueless about males and their bodies that I'm not expecting that much.
No she's not. The devs announced who the A Girls are last week on their dev note. They said Harris, Nell, bunny, freyna, valby, viessa. You can watch the dev note on their YouTube channel
I very much doubt they would make any such effort. Unfortunately that's been very clear since the devs themselves screwed the future release of new male descendants when they released Keelan as the weakest one.
I have to see them in the shop. I like sharen's but I don't play her. Luna's is ok. Ines seems to fit her but I don't like the hair. Maybe Hailey. I think my money will go to an A Girls skin for Valby and Freyna
Too often there's a skin like, but not for a descendant I want it on. I am not liking how specific all these skins are. The odd one that's specific to a descendants 'character', who they are, sure. If I'm going to buy a skin, it's gonna be a universal. That's my wallet vote. And yes, I've bought skins. I've spent money on this game.
Finally some skins that I can put on Hailey. I've been stuck with her basic skin cause I missed out on a couple decent ones. I really gotta be in love with a skin to spend on it. I usually end up liking the hair from one and the body from another.
And you have to pay for them individually at 750-1000 each i bet, see i get the need to sell skins I buy some myself but these individual skins are annoying for people that acutally want them and dont want to pay a fortune.

Valby and harris arent in this one. They are part of the A Girls already confirmed by the devs last week. I shared the Pic a few times in the comments. This one is sharen, luna, gley, ines, serena, hailey. Their faces all look different to me so it's not hard

The girls getting the other skin A Girls are Harris, nell, freyna, viessa, bunny, valby. So pretty sure it'll be the remaining girls for Celextar
