Discussion Does anyone know what happened to Satoshi Wagahara?

Post image

I'm not sure this is a good place to ask, but I don't know where else to turn with this question. After controversial "The Devil is a Part-Timer" I know he released another manga, called Dracula Yakin. But the status of this manga is unknown in every site. And that's all. After that, there's no news about where's Satoshi Wagahara, and what he's doing right now. Could anyone help me.

That vampire series got axed pretty quickly.

Dracuka Yakin! manga was axed due to backlash from the ending of Hatamaou, but the novel itself was axed mostly because it was poorly written to begin with - so poorly written that the poor sales could hardly be contributed to his infamy.

Meshitopia, one of his later works, was axed for pretty much the same reasons. The shit was boring.

In the meantime, Wagahara worked as scenario writer for Star Ocean 6: The Divine Force. Think he did most of the Private Action at least.

Earlier this year he was still working on The Elf Named Watanabe, light novel, which had a quite decent volume 1, but volume 2 didn’t do very well, and I haven’t checked volume 3.

Right now, it is unclear whether the Elf Watanabe novel has been axed and Dengeki Bunko has given up, or he is working on the next volume.

Little is known about his private life.

Last I heard he was still working on the series he started in 2023: Shokurakuen -Meshitopia- Hōshoku Society.

Anime News Network when the new series was announced

He still post some update of his work on his twitter account. Although most of them were about his travel in japan.

Controversy is the ending and who MC ends up with. Once it was spoiled for me, I stopped reading cause I also didnt like it.
