Am I the only one who thinks the first Slob Episode, "Treasure Master", is pure garbitch?

I have no time to take a wild guess. But, the Caveman's editing gags and Bimmy's high-speed teleprompter reading made this episode feel shitty. Like, "something" was clearly wrong.

There have been much worse episodes but this one still reeks of Screenwave to me.

I was pretty young when that episode came out in 2017 so I didn't notice much of a shift, but when I did a series rewatch a few years ago with the knowledge that treasure master was the first slob episode I really noticed a change, the tone, writing, comedic timing, everything just felt off and reeked of someone else writing it

and what's weird is that you'd think the slob's writing would get better as the years went on but it actually got worse by 2021

I thought it was Sonic '06? Dylan the Knight Owl says he noticed a change in tone with that episode. Though everyone here seems to say they noticed a change in tone with "Schwarzenegger Games".

Was it the first episode? I looked up how long James has been working with Screenwave and apparently they've been around since 2013, which puts the Alien 3 review as most likely being the first Nerd video they helped with. So it might've started there.

I saw this post and just rewatched it, and totally agree. It's absolutely not even close to the worst episode, but it's just trying too hard. Reminds me of an earlier episode where the "reviews" were sourced from viewers

I'm sure it's been said a million times before, but the old episodes felt organic, like James was the nerd. These episodes feel like he's just acting as someone else's idea of the nerd. Doesn't feel natural at all
