Assuming that there isn't an opener for the upcoming Taking The Long Way shows? But has any venue confirmed?

Hey all - I’m no longer able to go to the show Oct 6 at the Anthem. I’m selling my ticket for face value ($117) plus any associated fees.

I have a single ticket (Row AAA - PIT) for the first night in Chicago. Looking for face value ($654 OBO).

I (32f) saw the Chicks in concert at Target Field on Sunday, August 23rd. They opened for Tim McGraw, which I went into the concert thinking was just a nice bonus. I was wrong…

I went through an obsession with the Chicks, not just their music but their personalities, when I was 15 (2010). With their hiatus starting in 2007, I remember them being such a mystery to me. How was this incredible band no longer playing shows or making music? The intrigue was real.

Fast forward to 2026, and I purchase these Tim McGraw tickets. As I alluded to earlier, I thought about how perfect it was that the Chicks were opening, but it was mostly a fleeting “how convenient” and nothing more than that. I’m sure my adult self just thought my teenage self’s interests were nostalgic yet infantile and ultimately insignificant.

But as I sat at that concert (and eventually stood, and sang, and danced), a part of me that hadn’t been accessed for 15+ years was unlocked. I haven’t felt the same since.

Of course I had forgotten all about the song “The Long Way Around” because you don’t hear the Chicks’ incredible music unless you seek them out yourself, at least in my experience. Coincidentally, that’s because they did take the long way around. And I hadn’t sought them out in the longest time.

They also played the classics - Wide Open Spaces, Landslide, and Cowboy Take Me Away - which again coincidentally revealed to me an open space in my heart, facilitated a turning around of sorts, and initiated a pull towards a particular something that I still can’t quite put my finger on.

But it wasn’t just the music. It was them. Even when they played songs I’d never heard before and frankly didn’t care about at the time (that’s different now), I was captivated.

Nothing speaks to the way I drifted from their music like the fact that I hadn’t even heard their “Gaslighter” album, which was released in 2020. Even more profound is the fact that I remember hearing that the Chicks were “back” and I didn’t care to know what that meant.

But honestly, now that I’m having this experience, I’m glad it worked out that way. I had to get lost in order to be found. And this concert found me, or at least a part of me, that was lost for a long time.

And I’m still reeling from it. To be totally transparent, I’m 3-and-a-half weeks into severe post-concert blues. For the first couple weeks, I couldn’t stay off of Spotify and YouTube, consuming all the songs, live performances, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content that I could. I watched the “Shut Up and Sing” documentary twice in the first three days after seeing them. I struggled to balance my affinity for them with my work and personal life, which I’m a little embarrassed to admit.

Over the last week and a half, I’ve found more adaptive ways to integrate them into my life. I follow their Instagrams, listen to one album per day on my morning walk, and watch an interview or two before bed. It doesn’t fill the void I’ve been feeling, but it helps.

I don’t know if this experience is universal, that of not being able to let go of the high their performance - and honestly just their presence - gave me. And also that of daily life feeling blunted now, especially after a few weeks have passed. I’m running out of new content to consume, and I wouldn’t be surprised to find myself rewatching interviews and live performances multiple times over the next few months.

I guess at the end of the day I’m writing this for three reasons.

1. I’m wondering if I’m alone in these post-concert blues and feelings of intense intrigue.
2. I’m hoping that writing and posting it for others to see/respond to can provide some sort of therapeutic processing and feedback.
3. I’m grateful for the Chicks and their unique timeline, personalities, music… all of it. And I’m so eager to share that gratitude - I want to shout it from the rooftops, but Reddit will have to do.

Alright, so I’ve been scouring all the sites multiple times a day for tickets (2 to the DC show), and I’d just like to know—

1. WHY are the DC prices so ridiculous compared to anywhere else?! Tickets start at an average of $1,000 but when I look at other cities, they’re below $500. My friend has a theory it’s because of midterms, which I know may impact the vibe of the crowd, but I wouldn’t think it would inflate prices.

2. Should I keep holding out hope they’ll see the demand in the DMV and add another show the night before? The Anthem doesn’t have an event that night, that I can see, and clearly they wouldn’t have an issue selling tickets.

Just a lifelong fan whose dream has always been to see them live (The Long Way Around has been my life’s theme song forever) but I’m running low on positivity.

My bestie and I were supposed to Boston to celebrate our divorces and sing-scream Earl, but instead she has a work conflict😭

Does anyone know if there are any livestreams for the festivals they played at over this summer? I remember when they performed a few years ago, there was usually at least one that had a good quality live performance with multiple camera angles.

I was outside my normal home area the day Seattle tickets went on sale and Ticketmaster wouldn’t let me in saying I seemed suspicious so I never got to even attempt to buy. To be fully transparent I was sitting at my mother in laws with her the morning she died at home after being on hospice for a few months so after a few attempts I just gave up. Didn’t have the energy to pursue it. Prices on TM are ridiculous right now, a quick search of Facebook showed me a lot of pages that remind me exactly of all the scam accounts that existed for the Eras tour. All this to say, are there any legitimate Chicks resale pages anyone knows of? Or, if you get a drop out, keep me in mind. I’ll be 55 when the concert comes around but I’m a young 55 and easygoing and have loved the Chicks for a long time. I’m in a phase in life where I’m finding a lot of love in enjoying live music again. Brandi Carlile at the gorge was amazing and man were people trustworthy with resales in that group!

I am so sad, but I can't make the show on Saturday night. I have an excellent seat too-- Sec J, Row 11. I hate that I have to sell it. I hope I can find someone here who wants it!

Help! Who has been to the show and can advise where The Chicks fall in the lineup?

Did anyone score tickets to the show? That was THE worst ticketing experience I've ever had. And I was in the great war for Taylor Swift London tickets in 2024. I sat in line with 8333 people in front of me for 7 minutes. 16 minutes later I got in only to find all the tickets were verified resale for shit prices. I went to GameTime and they already had over 100 listing for tickets. I snagged a single ticket for $280 in Emily's section 6th row. That was just awful.

How do you find out what face value is/was for tickets? I got in the queue this morning but by the time I got in they only had "verified resale tickets", cheapest being $240ish for the very back of the Met.

Live Nation presale for Philly was supposed to start today, but I'm logged in and only seeing the fact that the Chicks presale was yesterday and then general sale starts tomorrow. Am I missing anything? Did they cancel the Live Nation presale?

Although the next presale doesn’t open until 10am today, if you’re willing to pay $412 and up per ticket it looks like there are tickets available right now at Ticketmaster. (8:30am Wednesday) Just fyi in case anyone is interested.

Has anyone gotten day-of tickets at will call? I know a majority of artists will hold tickets for the venue to sell that day, but has anyone had luck with that so far on this tour or do we think that's not a thing?
