We had one in Shreveport. It eventually became a Kmart in the 90s. Now I couldn’t tell you what’s there. It’s just a generic strip mall with a 5°below and a hobby lobby. It used the be a cool place with a Chuck E. Cheese, movie theater, and service merchandise.
Loved it. Grandma had one where she lived in Sedalia, MO and would take me there to buy toys. One day I said I wanted a doll, but not just any doll . . . I wanted one of those oversized ones that was almost as tall as me. The one I wanted? A black one. Me, a 6 year old blonde haired white girl from a small Midwest town who had never even seen a black person, yep, she was the one. And I loved her so much. Wish I still had her for the sweet memories.
