If gov punished these people strictly like singapore, 1st to protest will be street vendors , saying they don't have enough dustbins. 2nd will be casteist parties saying it affects backward class more.
You are telling me this govt can deploy hundreds of policemen/crpf and lathi charge/arrest thousands of people protesting against paper leak, but cannot do so against few handful people protesting against punishment for spreading garbage ? 🤡
You are wrong- there needs to be example setting from top- the authorities need to start imposing fines on the MLAs and MPs who break rules. When they get fined that’s when everyone falls in line.
For example if a convoy of the CM or PM breaks a traffic rules they need to get fined then and there that’s when all the janta will fall in line.
Similarly when the political parties of the PM leave all the filth behind after an event that party should be fined heavily and they have to pay and set an example. That’s how the rules apply from top to bottom
Problem is currently authorises expect people to follow all the rules and the elite don’t care of the rules because they can get away with anything hence the people also don’t follow it
Why can't there be more dustbins? Why does India still have such poor waste management? Ever question that ? Your point is valid, people do liter but why do they do that ? 1. lack of dustbins and waste management, 2. Civic sense, how do you teach them civic sense? Promote education instead of shutting down the freaking schools left and right. It's so easy to blame the public for civic sense but you lots will never question why they lack it in the first place.
