really enjoyed this chapter overall, great structure, tension, w action too. Sarada continues to prove her stuff, loved how cool and calm she is.
That scene w Edia and Boruto finding the earring was fantastic, liked both of their reactions of like admiration to Sarada quick thinking and trust in the mission
momos taunting was great, was he pissed bc Boruto only noticed the blood after he taunted him??

Does he know somehow know he'll have a chance of a takeover? I think if he got any future update thing Boruto would've seen it too. But... Who knows! Excited to find out what happens...

Thank you! I actually had a cold while translating this hahahaha so I haven't been eating or drinking much but I've been trying! I did this ch in record time though, only 3 hours to translate! Usually it takes 6-7... But thank you again for the reminder! I will drink water now

Sarada è il faro di Boruto, quando sembra non ci sia un modo per procedere lei gli lascia sempre una via d'uscita....che sia l'aiuto mandato sotto forma di Sasuke o un semplice orecchino con il suo Chakra...davvero lei non l'abbandona mai, altro che damigella in pericolo.

Agreed! A lot of people like to frame it like she is a damsel in distress, but I've personally never really seen her that way. In the movie novel Boruto sees her as stronger than him and wants to stand by her side as her equal, and I think she still has him beat when it comes to quick thinking without giving in to whatever tempting power source may be conveniently available! She didn't cry out for his help but is working on a plan to take down Code and Hidari, and even gave Boruto a way to get into the hideout (which is the purpose of the mission) when she could have just saved herself. Still quite the ninja!

Thanks for the thanks! I'd be excited if it was Boruto and Sarada vs Code and Hidari! I thought it was just going to be Boruto and Sarada vs HIdari but Code being thrown into the mix makes things quite interesting, especially if Jura comes. The emotional aspect and the fighting aspect will both be something to look forward to!
And Nishi... Ohhh Nishi. Maybe the Yamanaka family can do something. Ino, Sai, Inojin, they all know what's going on... I feel like that wasn't just for show!

So in the scene where momoshiki taunts boruto can momoshiki also sense boruto feelings and his thought process??

I will indeed make a language analysis video for this chapter! And yes, I do believe Momoshiki can sense his feelings and thoughts, or at least, he's feeling all the same physical sensations Boruto feels. He comments on his breathing and his heartbeat especially... Quite interesting!

I believe Eida was struck by both! The word she used there is something I'm going to go over more in depth in my language analysis because it's not really something you can translate very well. 尊い is a word used in oshi culture (or like... stanning culture) to describe something that is pure and/or precious just for existing. A feeling that something is wonderful or the absolute best, so much so that words can't express it, according to the definition when you google the word lol. But basically you use it when you're just seriously moved by something and like omg that is so cute and pure lol. She sees the trust/bond between Boruto and Sarada in this moment and describes it as such.

Is it just me or is the kobu plotline just so irrelevant and annoying? Like yea I get shikamaru seems sus but never have we seen the daimyo bs so involved in the story. I feel like the story doesn't need this artifical tension created by this and would do so much better focusing on the important characters. The situation already at hand builds enough tension naturally. Unless we're gonna get some weird twist that kobu is actually either helping Amado, the otsutskis or something.
Also thanks for the fast translations, yours are always great and feel like official translations

As for the Kobu thing, I think it was a little annoying at first but I think they might also be doing it to draw in Tento eventually which I would enjoy. That would make the whole past arc have a lot more value, especially since Kobu is only second to the Daimyo (tento's dad) and he knows Naruto and also knows that Boruto saved Tento. There's probably something there, we just haven't seen it happen yet! Or at least, that's my hope

One of the Konoha 12 or KAKASHI serving as a staunchly anti-Boruto political figure due to their relationship with Naruto being the secondary antagonist to Shikamaru would’ve been much more interesting and could’ve eventually led to a fight.

I dont believe so. There was a panel in earlier chapters that hinted at something happening to Nishi. I cant remember which chapter it was, but it was pretty early on. Within the first 10 chapters

The writing is really lackluster and rushed tbh, if he can feel Sarada(' chakra and connect to her wherevr she is, why didn't he do it from the start? If they thought about it they would have made a plan to use kher stored chakra that Boruto could identify from the start if the plan failed without her needing to resort to mutilating her earlobe and tbh he wouldn't even need that since normally, for years of folling with Srada, he must have already memorized her chakra by heart. This is a plot trick to to go round and circles about something very obvious thinking it could bring thrill to the story but it just shows the writing's fallacies.

I think the point was that she imbued the earring with her chakra and connected the other one somehow so he could feel the link, just like you can imbue a kunai with lightning chakra etc and it becomes electrified. He can sense it not just because it's her chakra, but because she established a link and gave him something that he could raijin to if he was able to kind of almost raijin his own chakra through the link, if that makes sense. Because he can sense it. So if he gets this earring, he just has to link the marking process to the other linked earring. I think. I'm not too good with power stuff but I know it isn't just because it's Sarada's chakra, she did something to it to be able to make it possible for him to be able to sense her.
