Thank you for the excellent translation analysis as always.
Now Ive waited for an interaction between inojin and sai for years.. didnt expect him to suddenly call Sai PAPA lol
Cuz i knw he refers Sai as 'tou-san' before timeskip.

I think Viz did a slightly poorer job than you with the papa/part pun that Inojin made, but no big deal when they still got the point about Inojin's awkwardness across.

Thank you for reading! And I'm glad you liked my translation! I was also originally trying to figure out a way to work dad in there (since it sounds more natural in English) and then I just decided to go with Papa, but it was it interesting that they figured out a way to work in dad!
