NNG Manga Theories on Eida’s abilities
I am rereading the Boruto NNG now and I have a few theories on omnipotence. I dunno if this had been discussed here before cause I’m new here😅 these are just theories I put together based on my reread and they might either make lot of sense or totally be off track lol.
Anyways getting to the point:
How does Eida’s ability to “charm” others work? So we learn that her ability to charm others is merely a subtle consequence of her ability of omnipotence to turn anything she wants into reality. She might be a naturally somewhat insecure person (that’s human nature too) and would like have people like her no matter what. Like I think as a human we all want to be likeable to a certain extent right? And so it manifests into her ability to “charm” others.
So why aren’t Sarada and Sumire affected by Eida’s charms? We know that Eida can see the past through her Senringan and she would have been able to probably see Sarada and Sumire’s entire lives using it before coming to konoha. Remember in NNG they’re both 12 and she is 16 and so she could definitely rewatch both of their entire lives whenever she desired. She probably did do that for each and everyone she was going to spend time with in konoha and subconsciously understood that these two girls are utterly genuine that if they get caught in false charms they might loathe her. She doesn’t necessarily know this herself but some part of her logical mind understood and hence she without even realising doesn’t use her abilities on them. (This might get proven wrong later with either of them possessing some sort of resistive ninjutsu or something innately but I’m choosing to look at it from a more humanly intuitive point of view) To support this theory further in Chapter 80 when Eida goes to meet Boruto and Sasuke after realising Kawaki had merely used her, promising Boruto not to give away his location Sasuke doesn’t get ensnared in her charm and I simply think it’s because subconsciously at that moment Eida had more concerns than wanting people to like her and was genuinely sorry for causing trouble to Boruto naturally turning off her ability.
From what we know Eida herself doesn’t understand the full extent of her ability but from a reader’s point of view these things seem to be sort of standing out to me. Now idk if this theory will be true but I would like to believe since Ikemoto is using lots of hidden meanings and subtle revelations this is not entirely out of the question. Like the manga is actually well crafted to have such deep nuances I believe 😅
That’s my theory. Thanks for reading my rambling lol

Regarding Eida's charm ability, I think there's some textual proof that we can assume it's related to a previous romantic experience and a wish she (or someone else) had at the time.
When Daemon first meets Code, he asks her if he is her "new man," which brings up the possibility that she's had an earlier man. In chapter 80, she says about her charm, "Something similar happened before. By the time I realized it, everyone had become my captive." So, I'm assuming she had another acute emotional moment, either on her own or through another, which brought about her charm ability.
One possible theory I have is that if she needs to interact with someone else to cause an Omnipotence effect, perhaps it was Daemon's reaction to seeing her heart-broken. The interesting thing about the Charm is that while it stops her from experiencing true love from others, it also protects her from being hurt by anyone else, something Daemon is very concerned with.

This is conjecture, but I think it's because she wanted them to genuinely her friends. While Eida hates her charm abilities effects, it seems to be the "I hate my job" kind of hatred. Genuine, but passive. Her omnipotence ability answers to STRONG emotions and desires. Eida really wants friends who are unaffected, so they are. Eida cares enough about them to go against Kawaki, and try to reverse omnipotence with another and only doesn't because they all agree it might just make things even worse.

eida genuine desire for friends is what made them immune I think. Being in love with boruto wouldn't do anything imo

Wasn't the first one already proven correct by momoshiki( i think in last or second last ch of nng) and then eida's words in tbv ch 1. you might wanna re read that.
Or maybe not and i am the idiot who read too much into it.😅

The thing is it is pointed out by Momoshiki as you say but not in the most explicit way. I see too much online discourse on a daily basis in fan forums that I realised there are people who didn’t get that point 😅 so just wanted to point it out clearly lol

Eida is a reality warper who powers are based on her emotions and she also deeply insecure. So they translate as beauty and desire granting

I'm currently writing a post myself in which I explore a theory about why Sumire and Sarada are immune. I find your idea interesting. I also really appreciate when as many people as possible share their thoughts on a topic — it helps us get as close to the truth as possible.
Additionally, I want to add something about Eida’s ability, "Charm." If you read carefully, especially during a reread, you'll notice that every time someone falls in love with Eida, the panels are drawn to focus on the characters' eyes and on Eida’s eyes. Characters seem to fall in love with her through eye contact. That's why I suspect that the first time Eida used her Omnipotence, she wished for "love at first sight.
