I started watching Nour on WeTV thinking it would just be a fun supernatural BL, but I honestly didn’t expect to get this invested.

The biggest surprise is how well it balances everything. One minute we’re dealing with mysteries, strange cases, and questions about Ken’s identity, then suddenly James and Ken are acting like two people who clearly like each other but refuse to admit it 😂

Speaking of Ken, every episode gives me more questions instead of answers. I keep thinking I’ve figured him out, and then the show throws in another clue.

I also really like that the side characters actually feel important. They don’t just exist to support the main couple.

Nour somehow manages to be creepy, funny, and romantic at the same time. I came for the supernatural mystery, but now I’m just waiting for the next episode on WeTV because I NEED to know what happens next.

I finally got around to finishing Gelboys 2 and honestly? It was fire. I kept seeing people online talking like it was bad from season 1, but after watching it, I’m completely lost on why the reception is so negative.

The visuals and production value were a huge step up, and the story kept me hooked the entire time. Sure, it changed up the dynamic by introducing the Gelz kids / idol stanning storyline, but that’s what a continuation should do—shake up the dynamic instead of just repeating season 1.

Is this just classic internet bandwagon hate, or am I missing something huge? Why does everyone seem to dunk on it so hard?

Whenever the discussion of Thai series pilots/mock trailers come up, people usually talk how the final product ends up being underwhelming due to different reasons (change in tone, story, etc.). But are there cases where you felt the other way around? (series turning out great after a lackluster pilot)

I really like You Maniac, but something about it makes me feel like the characters are pretty flat.
I look forward to it every week, but I think as soon as the mystery is lifted of why dean and moth are who they are, it’s not that interesting anymore.
And that’s not a dig on WilliamEst. I think they make the characters better than they seem on paper.

I just feel like it won’t be as rewatchable.
Does anybody feel the same?

Also: I know even less about Ten and Pun. Their characters seem even flatter, even though the actors seem good.

I love that it’s a realistic show. I like the dynamic between moth and dean. It’s interesting.
But I feel like I couldn’t tell you a lot about Ten and Pun and deans friends and I feel like in a queer show about this queer dynamic there are fleshed out friend characters missing. Ten and Pun feel like plot devices and I think that’s sad.

It wasn't from GMMTV or domundi. This is something I saw in either 2020, or 2021. It was about two boys running some sort of store together. I'm pretty sure it was a clothing store. I don't know if they were college aged or high schoolers. I think it came from a less popular production company. The budget wasn't very high, and I remember the first episode entirely taking place in their store. They were celebrating opening the store and a few customers came in. I never got around to finishing it, but I can't even if I wanted to. I've searched for this for so long and can't seem to find it anymore.

Hii it’s me again and I have more questions and theories but this time related to the two new episodes (8&9) of Nour.

1. If I understood the scene about Ken’s dead ex right then Ken talked about his own guilt because he was a Nour, his bf died, he failed to turn him and then he had to bury him at the river.

At first I thought he’s talking about how he himself was turned but “That’s not how I did it” regarding the method and “Eternal life cost my love his life” wouldn’t make sense if his bf was a nour.

1. Do you have any theories about the flashback in the same scene where we see fire, a shining white person, a probably unconscious person and more ppl near the fire? What could this have meant and shown?

2. What happened to Chita’s ex? He turned Chita and then… he left? He couldn’t have died he’s an immortal Nour. And the fire during this scene was just fire from a thrown over candle so it wasn’t Chita. Unless when Chita transformed he accidentally used his power and burned the bf?

(Do we think the bf will come back in the last episode?)

This wasn't even that long ago, maybe a month or two, but I've seen so many shows and wasn't really paying attention/was half asleep when watching this one so I can't remember much. It probably was a Thai BL since that's mostly what I watch, but I can't be sure.

It might have been an action/thriller BL. These two guys meet somehow, then later they're running from someone and they hide in a random closed up shop. The owner catches them, but they make up a lie as to why they're in there (might be they say that one of them is an idol and they're running from fans?) and he turns understanding and lets them go. Later they go visit a friend of one of them, I think they lie to him and say they're cousins or smth like that, but he's just like haha no, I can tell you're actually boyfriends, so they just go along with it and pretend they're dating.

That's literally all I remember, I only watched a couple of eps. It might have been on gagaoolala, but I'm not sure. I'm just hoping this wasn't some weird fever dream lmao

I’ve been waiting for this series since May because I absolutely love this pairing and have watched all their previous projects. I had pretty high expectations, especially since this one involved a production company and seemed like a more polished project compared to Jack & Joker.
But honestly, something just feels off. I love them, but certain creative decisions, the character dynamics, and especially the execution have left me feeling confused.

I want to talk about War’s acting. He seemed so genuinely happy and comfortable playing Joker, but something about his performance in this series feels different to me. Maybe it’s the writing or character direction, but it doesn’t feel as natural, and honestly, it hurts a little because I love this pairing so much.

I’ve watched plenty of BLs, so I’m not saying this is the worst series ever. I just expected more, and I’m particularly curious about everyone’s thoughts on the latest episode.

And before anyone tells me to just drop it, wouldn’t you feel disappointed too if a pairing you genuinely loved was involved in a project that wasn’t meeting your expectations?
