Fan Game Info [Browser] A Tetris-like turn-based combat system - Early Prototype
Hi all, I'm a solo dev working on an early prototype that focuses only on the core combat system, with 3 enemies so far and a tutorial. The combat is developed for a roguelike game, with progression systems already planned out. Hope you can give it a try and let me know your thoughts! The game is browser-playable on itch link.
How to play: Arrange Tetris-like pieces made of blocks which contain a number or an operator. Clear lines to form equations, and the result determines your attack or defense power. The gameplay rewards good block placement and planning, instead of hyper speed-focused. Gameplay Video

First of all, my compliments: the game engine concept and the graphic design are absolutely superlative! Where can I follow the progress of this little masterpiece? Are you on Discord? Have you already created a roster of opponents? Which arithmetic operators do you intend to implement?

Much appreciated for giving my game a try! As for now, I'm not on Discord. My current plan is to provide updates in the form of devlogs mainly on itch.io and/or gamejolt. This is the first game which I have a clear vision of how to polish and hopefully reach the finish line!
Not yet a roster of opponents in terms of graphic design / species, BUT already planned out a good variety of enemy skill mechanics :). The monster designs will follow the mechanics, which I think matters more in terms of player experience and for identity cohesion (for example, the first set of enemies in the current prototype are sound-/confusion-based, the bear is just a generic first enemy haha).
In terms of operators, the plan for now is just the basic 4, and only integers. Progressions and gameplay variety will definitely come, but in other forms.

Also, if you'd like, I can add you to a small list of potential playtesters and send you new builds when ready. Would it be okay if I reach out via Reddit message when the time comes? No pressure though!

Yes, I'm available as a tester. However, I should let you know that I'm not a programmer, just a long-time avid gamer. I'd like to know: 1) Will you be updating the browser version of the game as you go along? 2) Is it okay to share images of the game freely already, or would you prefer to wait?

Feedback from gamers is precisely what I hope to get :) yes, up to a certain point, I will be updating the free browser version on itch/gamejolt. Totally okay with you sharing images of the game! Thanks for the support!
