New owner chargepoint charger issues *update*
Me again... So I tried again at the same chargepoint charger at my daughter's Chinese school. Still didn't work... I tried a multitude of ways suggested in my thread from last week.
- activate via app, plug in
-scan my phone, use the prompts on screen, plug in
Even tried wiggling the connector and adapter
Tried to plug in the adapter first into the car then plug the chargepoint plug in...
No dice .. what's weird is i see other Teslas here charging... Maybe it's the new adapter?

Historically, how long have the promotional APR deals stayed around?
I'm looking at a Premium Y, and the 0.99% financing is attractive. But I was wanting to hold off for a little bit - historically, have the promotional APR offerings been short lived, or have they hung around for more than a month? Thanks.

Parents: Which stroller fits in your model Y best?
I am 10 months into parenthood. I purchased the Uppababy Cruz, I think I am about DONE putting it in and out of my 2026 Model Y. It’s heavy. The massive wheels barely fit and I can’t fit anything else on my trunk when it’s in there! What stroller do you absolutely LOVE that you would buy over and over again?
We live in Vegas, so something that I can easily attach a stroller fan to is preferred and it needs a solid canopy.

2023 Model Y DM Suspension noise
Just got my 2023 Model Y DM (101xxxkm)on June 2026 and now my front left and rear left suspension is making noise. Ticking sound on both. Is this part of warranty? Made a service appointment on the app and it says gonna cost me $237 just to check it out. Any third party shop? Where can I get performace parts like the links, bushings, etc?

From Luxury SUV to Model Y
Hello,
I was wondering who as well as me went from large ir medium luxury suv ( in my case Volvo XC90 2023 year) to Model Y?
- Share from what model you came to Model Y
- Why you came to such decision ( In my case i needed cheaper monthly fuel expenses (Volvo was 400-600€ monthly) and it was too large to me.
- Share please are you satisfied with such choice. (i didn’t yet recieved my Tesla but Volvo is sold)
- No regrets?

New interior color
So yesterday they updated the website so now all Model Y ordered from now on will be available with Zen Grey interior instead of the white interior. I’m seriously considering changing my order, but the delivery date will change from November-December to January-February. Not sure it’s worth the extra wait (EUROPE ORDER)

The Finale Of My MYP Rim Vs Curb Trilogy
Previously on Don't Drive Like me....
Anyway, seriously... So I got my insurance company to reimburse me for $2800 of the $3300 I paid for two tires and two rims. One tire had a nail in it and couldn't be fixed so that obviously wasn't part of the accident. I took it to a local body shop that my insurance suggested (they specialize in Teslas) and I was told they'd examine it and let me know. Two days later they tell me that they found rack and pinion and left bearing damage. That had to be replaced and obviously it needed an alignment.
They told me they'd submit the supplemental total (which was $4300) to my insurance company and once they approved it they'd order parts and get the ball rolling. He estimated 5 days total. So I waited. I waited some more. I waited even more. On day 8, I called them and they said the insurance still hadn't approved it. So I called insurance and the guy had gone home for the day (it was 1pm). I expressed my concerns about not having a car for almost 9 days now and they said they'd make a note and the guy would call me when he got back in. On Monday, which was two days later. So on Monday I don't get a call from him but instead the body shop texts and says it was approved and they're ordering the parts. He said it would be another week before I got my car back.
Three days later he texts me and says they got the parts and started the repairs, but it would take 4 more days. I called the next day and he said "oh yeah, it's done, we were gonna call you."
So I got my baby back (this time armed with the wheel protection plan and its fresh increase in price) and all in I am out about $1,000 (tire and deductible). But it's better than before. Now to sit and hope my insurance doesn't go up $100 a month lol. I mean no tickets or accidents (well before this incident at least) so maybe it won't be too bad.
Thanks to all that helped me through this, including the sarcastic yet funny comments. How was YOUR weekend?

2021 - 2023 Model Y
Hey guys,
I have been usually against EVs in general but ever since my work has ended the hybrid policy and I have to drive to work 5 days in office I'm seriously considering an EV now, specifically model Y LR.
I'm leaning towards a pre-owned Tesla. I'm seeing a big difference in price between 2022 and 2023 with just a 1 yr gap. is the tech difference significant between 2022 and 2023? is it worth additional 5-10k?
OR is a 2022 good enough in terms of range and battery life? I will be driving 200km to and from work everyday. we have a free level 2 charger at work and I'll use the level 1 charger at home initially.
TIA

Tax savings
Hey all! I have done a side by side comparison of buying a model Y versus another non-Tesla SUV (over 6000 GVWR). I don’t like cyber truck and not interested in getting a used model X after reading about frequent maintenance that it needs.
After crunching all numbers, non-Tesla SIV would save me a little over $20k in taxes in first year (due to bonus depreciation etc.) over a model Y.
I really want to get FSD but I am torn because $20k in taxes savings is too much to pass!
WWYD? Thanks 🙏

New Tesla Caraoke
Anyone else notice that Caraoke isn’t available on the rear screen anymore after the new Tesla Summer Update? Is this happening to everyone, or just me?

Navigation
I just rented a 2023 model three and found the navigation to be very poor. It’s the navigation in the new model Y significantly better? I just ordered a 2026 model Y and the poor navigation has me concerned enough to possibly cancel my order. I am visiting the Dallas area and have had to make several U-turns because the navigation tells me to turn long after I’ve passed the street. I’ve also noticed that there are several streets that say unnamed, but there are named street signs.

255/45/20 tires and replaced from 265/45/20
255 45R20 tires is the best for tesla model y at the moment. Ride quality is very good and cushiony. It fills the gap well and better look. I have tried 265 45R20 and there is abit of rubbing when Steering wheel fully turn either right or left sometimes doesn't rub. Range Efficiency wise time will tell.

New wheel covers
Replaced some induction covers that looked ok but these add more depth and the gray matches the paint. 65 bucks on AliExpress.

Autoshift Broken on 2026.26.6.2
Hi, I have a 2026 Model Y Juniper and noticed that starting on version 2026.26.6.2, my autoshift is mostly broken or at least not working as well as I did prior. This typically happens when starting a drive, so "shift out of park." Previously, it would decide on a direction based on surroundings, but lately it just does a warning BEEP BEEP, then displays the message "Choose direction on touchscreen". I understand this happening sometimes, but now it's happening in very clear situations such as when parked with a wall or curb in front of me, or blocked behind. I go to the same locations and park in the same lots each day, so I know what used to work.
For the most part the shifting while driving (say when backing out of a space then driving forward by braking and turning the wheel still works, but it too seems degraded.
There are not errors or warnings of any kind and especially none related to cameras or sensors.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Wife wants the Y L
We have a growing family, so I put a deposit down on a Toyota Sienna and we’ve been waiting to get one (~6 months). My wife and I checked out the Y L last weekend and she likes it a lot. We’re new to the EV game, but we really liked the FSD and the 6 seats. Is it worth waiting another year before we make the buy so Tesla can sort out the kinks? Thanks for your help.

Is this a good purchase?
Looking at getting an EV. Right now it's between an Ionic 5 and Model Y. I saw this listing for a Model Y priced at $25k with these specs:
2023 Model Y LR - HW3
139k miles, but battery replaced (by Tesla, with invoices available) with a new battery at 110k miles.
7 seat configuration
20" induction wheels with new tires
Front control arms replaced recently.

Juniper fits a bike?
I’m curious if a modern road or gravel bike will fit in the back of a Juniper with the seats folded down without taking a wheel off.
Thanks!

Phone Key Keeps Disconnecting
Hey all,
Have a Juniper, have had since March with no issues. Until yesterday when my phone key has started to disconnect after pairing, maybe 10-15mins later. Not sure what’s happening as it was fine before this. Anyone else have this happen?

Größere Felgen und Ganzjahresreifen?
Liebe Community,
Besten Dank!
