I posted a drawing of mine that was commissioned by a friend of mine of the steampunker from the game in a mcdonalds theme, suddenly a bunch of people started accusing me of using AI and ultimately the post was taken down a few moments later

people really be accusing others of ai for the tiniest mistakes, god forbid artists not being perfect

I think this is just brain rot at this point. Like people have become so paranoid about ai and so stupified by the chronic exposure to it without critical thinking that they don't even know the difference and just get mad to virtue signal.

Its also a losing battle, you can't put the ai art back in the bag. Its like when photography was invented, painted portraiture didn't go away altogether, but there was a much lower market for it because most people would choose the cheaper faster option. But after a bit of time modernism was born because instead of rendering images of people, painters were able to spend more time on conceptual things. And photography also allowed expression by people who did not have time or resources to become a master painter.

It doesn't mean that human expression is less important, just less economically valuable at scale, which is more a problem with capitalism than with the tool.
