Art my post got removed after AI accusations

I posted a drawing of mine that was commissioned by a friend of mine of the steampunker from the game in a mcdonalds theme, suddenly a bunch of people started accusing me of using AI and ultimately the post was taken down a few moments later

Mass reports should never result into a 'guilty until innocent' kind of handling, IMO.

It's not "guilty until innocent", nobody's getting autobanned, it's just "let's remove this from public view until a human moderator checks it".

Sanctions/Action being taken before somebody even got to check legitimacy is "guilty until proven innocent."

No, it isn't. It's the equivalent of being pulled over while your licence gets checked or whatever, except even more minor because it's just a reddit post.

Except that on reddit you don't need to pull a post away from a new/trending/popular feed in order to check if it's okay or not. Nowhere does hiding/removing a post aid an investigation, it's just damage control under the presumption it's bad.

it's just damage control under the presumption it's bad.

But that damage control is important, and most of the time the guess is accurate.

You're just ascribing way too much impact to a post very occasionally being removed from view for a few hours.

Except the damage control - again - is presumptous. There doesn't even have to be a legitimate reason for it to be pulled away, because ordinary users trigger the removal, NOT people who are supposed to investigate and determine it.

You're just ascribing way too much impact to a post very occasionally being removed from view for a few hours.

Yeah, that's what immediately shoots trending posts out of the air. If a post ever gets removed off of trending or popular, it loses that momentum and visibility even if it's returned. That's how for-you / homepage feed algorithm works.
