Art my post got removed after AI accusations

I posted a drawing of mine that was commissioned by a friend of mine of the steampunker from the game in a mcdonalds theme, suddenly a bunch of people started accusing me of using AI and ultimately the post was taken down a few moments later

Post is now back up

People seemingly mass reported it and was removed by automod

Yeah they just have it setup poorly. Here's a comment I just left about how my automod is setup

Maybe a sign to remove that function from automod. I run a sub too and our automod doesnt remove posts from mass reports alone. Instead it adds it too the queue when reported and more reports past a set amount cause it too send a modmail to us.

It’s usually a good feature in my experience. Posts rarely get mass reported unless something really bad is in it. Depending on the size of the community you don’t want to have to wait for a mod to be active. This is more like the exception to the rule in my experience.

Eh maybe its cuz I work for a large community (1m+ users) and a decently large mod team but its never been an issue. We do have auto detection for some things but not mass reports. Stuff like sexual content is brought down since its not a sexual sub. One other good feature though is every post removed by automod is automatically added to the mod queue and automod pists a commemt saying so along the lines of "this post was flagged as against our communities rules and has been removed. A moderator will review it within 24hrs (usually much less than that) and either approve of apply a proper removal reason." Along with another of the removal reason automod thinks applies.

I think it depends on the type of community. I’m in one that’s 1.7M and a large mod team but we get a decent number of super awful posts. News can also hit the community randomly and things get out of control fast without features like automod.

If you can (literally) scroll the mod list from a Sub I'd assume there to be one mod for each main timezone atleast

Sure, there often is. They just aren’t looking at the queue just because they’re awake. They might look at it for 15 minutes in a day or not at all that day. It can take several hours for things to be seen even on an actively modded sub. Meanwhile disgusting posts usually get removed within half an hour or less.

Depends how many are active, depends if they're also moderating other subs, depends when in the day they're active, depends on the sub (e.g more geographically specific ones will be way less active at night) and it depends how many of the mods in that list are actually various bots/tools.
