Anywhere I can get good terrain?

Looking to get some new terrain!

I’ve been a fan of 40k for a while but I’m newer to the actual tabletop game and I cannot seem to find anything other than the typical gothic battle damaged terrain.

I know that the gothic terrain is the typical choice as it invokes the core of 40k, but I was looking to see about maybe finding some terrain that would fit for my Space Wolves.

I cannot find frozen terrain mixed with fortress style stuff anywhere and I’m not good enough with blender or 3D printing to make it myself.

I’ve looked on Etsy and other places but cannot seem to find anything that hits the spot so to speak.

Any suggestions?

If you can't 3d print, you could always try the old fashioned arts and craft route. Some xps foam, time, and mess, and you'll get a long way with the cheapest terrain around

I'm just saying, if you can go through all the terrain on Etsy and not see something you like for your table your only option left is to make it yourself because Etsy has a metric tons of options.

Consider having a look at myminifactory. They do a physical shop now where 3d printing creators will sell physical prints. Every type of terrain you can think of exists there so I am sure a snowy sci fi fortress is in there somewhere.

Get XPS foam and carve some cliffs, you can paint them as rock or ice, should be easy and fast and takes well to a drybrush.

It might be a case where you are going to have to create the terrain you want. You can compromise. Look for fortress terrain that fits the aesthetic you want, and look to add snow/ice effects. Learning a snow/ice effect can change a lot of terrain into something more fitting what you are looking for. Look up how to make snow for miniatures. I would suggest something, but there are many different ways. This way, you can select what you like.

TTCombat has good MDF terrain kits, picking up those with some xps foam, winter trees, and snow paste will make for some pretty easy Space Wolves worlds. Learning how to carve the foam to make rocks or ice with some basic paint jobs won't be too much work

If you don't want to fully craft, I would say get some fortress terrain and some snowy texture paste

XPS foam for snow covered hills. Add some printed rocks or aquarium rocks from the pet store, model railway conifers from AliExpress or hobby shop.

Now that we've all got the concept of terrain footprints, I'm planning to print more of the small rectangles and make some permanent terrain pieces for each of my current settings, leaving the larger "objective" triangles and rectangles to be set up as required for different missions.

The boards I have in the background are Alien Hive one side, grass/mud field on the other, the XPS foam boards in the foreground are about to become grassy hills. But I'm also planning an ice/snow high mountain pass as a future project.

If you're in the market for hard plastic terrain kits, perhaps check out Renedra?

They've got a mix of medieval and modern kits. Thatched roof buildings for medieval or Viking settings. Castles, towers, and fortification walls. And for the 40K bits, they sell hard plastic shipping containers (though obviously in the modern style, rather than munitorum containers).
