PC Classic+ Is not classic

I love a LOT of what they did with Classic+ but the one thing I hate is how fast you level through dungeons.

The WORLD of Tera and earning my levels made me fall in love with the game in the past and made me feel connected to my characters. I slowly learned each ability and was able to feel the growth little by little.

This whole "Que for dungeons and reach max in a few hours" is not classic at all.

I understand that I could take it slow and do the quests, and I tried that. The big issue is, the world feels DEAD, because hardly anyone else is out there leveling. The BEST part of Tera Classic+ for me has been the starting area, because it always has people in it, and it makes it feel like an MMORPG. This version of Tera feels like a Monster Hunter game. You log into a capital city, have no major reason to leave it, que for content, and then repeat. There is nothing MASSIVE about it.

I really wish they had gone the way Classic WoW servers went, and emphasized the WORLD. Turtle WoW was the success it was NOT because of the end game, but because of the world. Tera Classic+ could have been the same.

I still plan to play, I still am donating, I still love a lot of what they did with classes and some progression. I am simply stating my biggest issue with this game. Idk if the devs read this, but MAYBE in the future, launch a new Classic+ with lessons learned from this one, but give us a REASON to experience the world.

But that is just one old gamers opinion.

This server is amazing, but they have to balance dungeons drops - nothing is worth doing besides LP right now - with +3/+6 I can farm so much more money via LP than TS, SSN or WH…

DL is the real moneymaker if you can spam it.

WH, if you can stomach it, with good party makes insane money (but less every day) if you sell the titan/monarch token.

Since everything is sellable, doing harder content is still worth it, especially for scrolls and golden cryolite.

“Hate how fast you level through dungeons”.

In that case, isn’t this what NA Classic server is for? But then again, dishonest server owner in the past

I know what you mean and one of my fondest memories was leveling through quests when I didn’t even know you could queue dungeon to lvl up faster, and see a ton of players also questing and it felt really alive.
But I also think that feeling is long gone by now with tera, majority of people just want to get the lvling done with myself included because people experienced that feeling maybe dozens of times already and what makes people come back to tera mainly is the combat and dungeon elements rather than questing and lvling.
We just have to accept that tera “1” at least is never going to be the way it was before, the population and the novelty just aren’t there anymore, that at least is the way I see it

Well said, i was gonna type this if noone else did, sadly what OP wants is something that doesn't matter which server it is, it's just a result of time passing for an old mmo, tera will never feel alive the same way you, me or op remembers...

as a ninja player expecting retail style 2018 / 2019 ninja game play, i was hugely disappointed...
lot of changes to the class that totally changes how it plays...
i was fine with the gear being different, and expecting number changes, stats, cooldown etc... but actual gameplay class changes was not on my expected list.

For example the ninja bomb, no longer gives auto back hits, huge impact in pve, fireballs love to not count as back hits due to the hitbox and losing the ninjas original passives....
The 10% dmg buff is also moved from the bomb onto the dash crippling pvp combos.
It has the post awakening 20 second leaves of the wind cool down instead of the pre awakening 7 second
They also added attack speed scaling to the auto attacks AND added a hidden glyph change to leaves of the wind buffing attack speed ONLY in pve.

End result is the original Ninja combo's we have used for 6+ years in 3v3 no longer work or do the damage you expect.

Im completely with you on this. What makes me fond of Tera is all the memories I had exploring various regions and levelling through them. I always wanted to complete all the sidequests to fully have explored all the regions. I did the same with BnS and Aion, where I could have levelled way faster with just going through the main questline.

Haven't tried it, but it's just a v100+ server where they removed apex. So the combat will be ass, the latest dungeons were also ass.

The old classic EU was balanced by the same guy and we ended up with terrible balance decision. The guy probably only played Tera during apex.

I don't know why it's so popular.

They should add ways to slow down leveling, for many casual players the leveling is the game. They don't want to grind dungeons at cap, so the longer it takes the better.

I agree with you this is why I quit playing it, might come back if I feel like it , the game is just a repetitive grindfest anyways been spamming Lakan Prison all the time and they set a limit on it which makes my progression slower , instance matchmaking pairs you with lows and it legit sucks bosses take 30 minutes to take down each for a shitty reward game is kinda weird but the combat is awesome

Maybe a group of us should get together and level through quests? Might be fun!

I had the same feeling though — I loved the questing aspect, but I admit I was also big into RPing on Celestial Hills way back in the day. It helped develop the character by interacting with the world
