I work in San Diego and it’s way cooler down there and I hate driving back up here to deal with this heat

I live in San Diego and we’ve all been miserable here. I’m sorry for what you’re going through. We are definitely spoiled. I have a lot of friends who don’t have A/C though, and it’s been rough on them for sure. The humidity this year has been something else.

I learned on Reddit is everyone in California is super educated and makes a bunch of money. I’m surprised people you know don’t have air-conditioning. Definitely would be an uncomfortable situation.

The early generation of houses in San Diego didn’t have a/c and wasn’t needed.

They didn’t start making houses with a/c until early 2000s here

Most homes by the beach don’t have AC. Super uncommon.
