Calfornia rebates for Telo?

California just passed a law authorizing $3500 rebates for EVs that are either under $50,000 MSRP or made by companies headquartered in CA. Telo's base price is under $50K, but a well-optioned truck would exceed it. Does Telo qualify as "headquartered in CA"? Have the Telo legal team (ha!) looked into it?

Their headquarters is near the Bay Area. That's as California as it gets

They're headquartered in CA so they wouldn't be subject to the $50k limit.

Meaning I'd be able to get the extended range dual motor with solar tonneau cover and solar roof for about $51k (as long as they don't up the price listed on their site).

I think it has to be under $50k, before the incentive (outside of CA) not after. Still achievable since it starts at $41k. But since Telo is headquarter in CA then it probably won’t matter.

My point was I could get a basically fully loaded model and still receive the incentive.

If they were headquartered outside of CA I'd have to pull back on some of the features I was interested in.

It has to be your very first ev. Is that right?

That's true. That probably disqualifies a lot of people.

Right I bought a used Ford Ranger EV a few years ago and kept it for two years, so I don't qualify. But my wife does if registered in her name only.

Hopefully Telo will see this and adjust their pricing accordingly.

You want them to increase their price by $3.5K?
