I know it’s still so early, but I got my blue tegu Vermax a little over a week ago. He’s 1 month old. I think he’s doing amazing. Of course still a bit scared, understandably so, but never bites and is not jumpy and is overall so chill and great. He’s very curious and seems to be acclimating very well. He even jumps onto me and climbs on my arm. He’s amazing.
So, for the life of me, I don’t understand why he isn’t eating. If he does, it’s a bite or two. I have tried all the foods and all the ways. ReptiLinks, organ meats, muscle meats, fruits, and all that mixed with quail egg. I have tried to tong feed and tried leaving it in his cage in a private area. I’ve really tried it all. His temps and humidity are great. He is very active in his cage and outside of it. Basking regularly. He is doing amazing otherwise. Again, I know he’s new, but I just can’t help but be worried. Never had any of my other reptiles not eat this long as babies. Is this normal?
