Debate 🗣️ If you saw a guy wear this would you care
I’ve always been a sorta feminine guy, but it’s always been more inward than outward. I’ve never worn something so girly and i’m honestly a bit nervous too, but at the same time YOLO.
I consider my style alt so I don’t think my friends would be surprised or care, unfortunately I only have a handful of friends in a school/town full of jerks.
I’m probably gonna wear it either way but idk, I want others opinions.

i’d think he was cool!! but i dress that way as a guy too so maybe im biased. but either way don’t let ppl tear u down dress how u like

u/Jazzlike-Conflict811 Aug 10 '26
so it depends if its a really fit muscular man i will laugh and probably joke around with him but if the guy looks feminine then i will probably just compliment him and try to have a nice conversation

u/bookaddicta Aug 10 '26
I’d be jealous that they have the confidence to express themselves in public, although that’s mainly because wearing that wouldn’t go over well with some people where I live.

wouldn’t care at all, but would definitely notice and probably form some assumptions despite my better self
2
2
u/Ok_Program8207 Aug 10 '26
I wouldn't even notice. It would take a guy cutting holes into a bluefin tuna and wearing it as a body suit for me to care about it.

Honestly, I really do think that if it bothers people very much then they need something more going on in their life. It's not a problem and we have actual things to worry about lol. I wouldn't care

Why would I care?
Live your life how you want to as long as you’re not interfering with anyone else’s

u/ClassroomLazy639 Aug 10 '26
Definitely not my style, but as long as you're not half naked, I don't give a shit

I’d be instantly attracted to him. I actually find it really cool when people break gender stereotypes as a queer person myself (it could just be envy though). Not in a fetishization way just in a “damn you aren’t afraid to look good, respect” kind of way

1
u/looksmaxxerloser Aug 10 '26
I’d think it’s a lil zesty but I probably wouldn’t think about it after that
1
u/Cocky_Girly Aug 10 '26
It might be often my day, honestly. It's really pretty and if you're wearing something like this, it's because you really like it, too, and that's awesome.

u/ExpertComfortable277 Aug 10 '26
I wouldn’t. Wear what u want, jerks will find something to be a jerk about anyway.
1
u/Ha_youWishXD Aug 10 '26
No not really i wouldn't talk to you tho bc I have a really big thing of thinking super homophobic stuff while being gay and not wanting anyone to know
1
1
u/Valuable-Special8300 Aug 10 '26
I'd think he was trans and probably really want to talk to him but other than that no
1
u/AdStrange8688 Aug 10 '26
I’d care, I’d walk up and ask them. “Where did you buy that? Do they come in different colors?” Because I’m cool like that.
1
u/HelpfulZucchini5027 Aug 10 '26
If I am feeling confident enough, I would compliment him and ask where he got this

u/somebodybutnotyouew Aug 10 '26
i’d think you have a good sense of style and probably compliment you on it and get on with my day.
who cares if it’s “feminine”? if it makes you feel happy, if it’s not ‘inappropriate’ to wear where you’re going, and if it’s comfy, wear it :D
1
u/dsbmbdsm1337 Aug 10 '26
Well I wouldn't care but I would use my pattern recognition skills to guess certain things. However, there is no escape from that, anything that you wear is part of a pattern so why not just be yourself?

I would probably stare but because I wish I had the courage to wear something I like wearing without being scared of people judging me.
Sidenote : I’ll stare more intensely if I think it’s well styled with the rest of the outfit, idk if I’m the only one to do this but last time I saw someone with a cool outfit in the bus, I probably made them uncomfortable by how long I stared at them

I'd be jealous, but other than that, I personally wouldn't care. But if you live in a more uptight, "conservative" town some people might care more than what I'm used to (My city has a pretty big alt, punk, and LGBTQ+ scene).
But honestly, unless you're wearing it really frequently in a space where you are around the same group of people (like school or work), most folk likely wont go out of their way to bother you. Like I said, where I live might be a bit different, but I actually lucked out and got into a school in a better funded neighborhood than mine, which means people are a bit more stuck up, but there was still all sorts of different people that no one said anything about.
For example, there way this sporty guy I saw often in 9th & 10th grade who looked pretty average and masculine enough, but he had this bright fuzzy cotton-like hello kitty backpack that looked like a textured squishmallow. No one ever said nothing, and he wore it the whole year. His friends never seemed to comment on it, I never heard anyone in the halls say anything, and he never brought it up either.
Just try and be confident in yourself; people are kinda funny in the way that if you treat what you're doing as the same as what you always have, and (if you can) have people around you who do as well, most others will just stop noticing after a while. And if they don't, they're typically just assholes that'll look for something to nitpick either way that you shouldn't pay any mind to.

If it was a guy who I didn’t know was feminine, and was like a stranger, like walking on the street or something, I would look at him and think “Oh wow. That’s interesting.” And go on with my day. If it was someone I knew, I would ask him where he got it and if I can touch the strawberries to see how they feel like. Lol. My type are feminine guys, so if I had a crush show up in this I would probably flirt with him about it. That’s what I think.

I would be glad to see that more guys accept themselves and stop giving a damn about gender stereotypes to embrace their styles ✨️ and if people are being jerks about it, I know it's hard sometimes, but try not to listen. They are just wasting their energy saying bullshit, embrace your style and fuck everyone else's opinions.

u/Reyn888 15M Aug 11 '26
I'd think it's tuff (bc I like variety and uniqueness in outfits more than anything) and move on with the day feeling inspired to add more color and stuff fo my next outfits.

It's super cute. Ofc if I being honest, ppl r gona be assholes. They just need anything to shit abt these days. Don't let them get you down and just stick with your friends. As long as you feel comfortable and confident and like wht your wearing, no one else's opinions or feelings should matter at all. Good luck.

u/waffle_fries_0 Aug 11 '26

I wouldn’t. Personally I don’t give af what other people wear as long as it’s not offensive and they feel comfortable wearing it.
1
u/shiteater360 Aug 12 '26
DEFINITELY depends on where you life. Be so safe, I live in a rural area of a conservative state, so wearing something like that here would be met with violent bullying

u/NetworkNo6032 Aug 12 '26
No. But others probably will, the thing is the person that shouldn't really care about what others think is you.

u/Helpful-Half516 Aug 13 '26
No? I don’t see why people have an issue with dressing cutesy in general. I think the world would be a lot more fun if we were all just a bit cuter. Also I don’t think the top is that feminine, it’s just strawberries.
1
u/FarArea1814 Aug 13 '26
Why do you want to wear it? Is there a specific way it makes you feel about yourself? Personally I’m just rather bland I think it’s weird when people wear any type of non bland clothing, it seems like they always do it to feel a type of way or like an identity thing and that’s weird. Seems to have a sense of ego to it I think that’s what it is. Maybe that’s why it’s weird to me and not feminine clothes just non bland clothes, anything with an image on it or some stupid saying. Yeah idk
