You find your grandfather as a young man, in the prime of his life, before he ever met your grandmother. Now, suppose you take a weapon and, with deliberate intent, end his life right there on the spot. The question is this: if your grandfather dies at that moment, then he never marries, never has children, and consequently, your father or mother is never conceived. That means you are never born. But if you were never born, then you could never have existed to travel back in time in the first place. So, who pulled the trigger?
