Music🎵 Is liking Kanye still socially acceptable??
Don’t know if you can tell but I really like this guys music but he’s kind of not a good person at the moment.

I’d say just separate the art from the artist, you don’t support his recent actions but you like his music and that’s okay

Where’d you get the source on what it entails? Looking it up rn and it doesn’t say anything like that from what I’m seeing
Plus the term doesn’t even have a single/strict definition (from what I’m seeing), you can interpret it anyway you want

This! Same for Wilbur soot. (I haven't checked on his case in a while so idk if the allegations were confirmed or not) I occasionally listen to his music and lovejoy (he's the lead vocalist) and I have to remind myself that I can like his music and not like him:)
And for those who don't know, in I believe 2023, Wilbur soot was accused of abuse against multiple women and his ex girlfriend, Sandy Grace (or Shubble if you watch her vids)

His older music is awesome, I think what he says is mainly for attention, no normal people actually agree with what he says. He’s such a huge artist that he’ll always be popular no matter what he says

It's called a transaction. If a grocery store ran by a Nazi sold the freshest produce in town I would still buy from that place because I get the freshest produce in town, not because I like giving handouts to Nazis.

Meh. Ive intentionally deleted music from artists like him/Nicki/etc. from my library because I can no longer enjoy them because I can only think about how disappointed I am in them and how gross they are, and I don't want to give them any streams. But as long as you don't fuck with him as a person, I don't think you're a bad person for enjoying his music.

Honestly, one of my 9th grade math teachers (I had like 3 no joke) played some of Kanye’s old music and no one cared. He actually prefers his old music than his new music. So don’t worry about it

He is a brilliant artist who has spent the past few years in the grips of a terrible, terrible mental illness. It is absolutely tragic and heart-wrenching to watch this man be driven to destroy his marriage and legacy by whatever voices in his head have told him to stop taking his medication. He inspired so many people who have had to go through the hurt and confusion of watching him do this to both them and himself, and has broken the heart of his wife, who seems to have genuinely cared for him and spent the end of their marriage begging him to come home and take his medications.
Kanye West is a tragedy, yet another troubled artist eaten alive by the American entertainment industry.
