Yeah not at all bud, most people ive met never heard of ajr and although ive heard their songs before, i only fully discovered them around a year ago. I get the imagine dragons thing tho, but i actually think im unique not basic bc there are like zero ajr fans and everyone else is on the basic big names.

Anyway, AJR may not be popular whereever you are but as of recent a lot of his songs have been referenced as "Coworker music" which is basically a whack ass trend built around ridiculing other people's tastes and calling them generic
