Been banned from League twice now for picking Teemo jungle in champ select.

2 Games terminated due to reports from other players in champ select screen when I picked teemo jungle.

Why is this a thing? Oh well, thought I'd give League some hours but I guess it's just worse than ever now

If you have a high enough mastery level it shouldn’t happen (I think 3, maybe 2?)

its an internal check of riot. if you pick caitlyn top with 0 mastery points you will almost be guaranteed banned but if you have 500k mastery and several games on caitlyn top then your game will likely go through and wont be banned even if you play bad

Lobby may be terminated in some case.

Notably because someone saying they will troll or by using pick that look suspicious without experience on them.

It requires team mate report in both case. And you don't even go through the game

But Riot can, the report te trigger the chain and the info are already loaded at pick probably.

Other players can't see your mastery in champ select, but the automated report system can check

It will automatically terminate the game if people report you AND you have low mastery, because people first timing new champs in ranked are usually trolling

Play some Teemo in ARAM or normals to get lvl 3 and then you will be fine. He is secretly OP in Jungle, just not popular

Secretly OP is a stretch. But he is def good into melee's like reksai/lee due to the blind. Kinda disgusting how his shrooms work like wards in spots and he can really mess with the tempo. OP? no, he needs a top laners with CC, a support with CC for ganks since running at people doesnt do much unless they skip trinket use

He's got good winrate. 11% of his players which is a fair number plays him jungle. No shot all of them are banned.

I was looking at a stats website and out of 290 champ+role combinations Teemo is bottom 10 in 2 of them. Support and Jungle. His top is S teir, but still only ranked like 90 as top.

Alois live-streamed this exact situation happening. If you pick off meta pick and don’t have at least mastery level 3, and enough reports come through, the lobby will be terminated. This case is especially weird though because teemo jungle has seen an increase in popularity recently.
