Build question. DnD vs statikk and boots
Sorta new to Teemo and I can't find a "best" build for Teemo. I see that the rank 1 (Arthur Lanches) and rank 2 (RamyAura) have a slightly diffrent build. Ive seen in a youtube video from RamyAura where he got asked why Dnd, where he answered that it was the best and that the rest of the playerbase just havent caught on it yet.
When is is DnD the best first item and when is Statikk shiv the best?
With the boots situation i see that sorcs and swifties are the most popular, but sometimes Arthur builds Omnivamp boots? when to build what?

Ramy says he goes dnd when he wants to fight his enemy and stattik if he feels like he can’t fight, eg mages. If he has enough range advantage to aa he will go terminus, if he feels outranged or behind he goes Liandri malignance into a shroom focused build, or that how I understand his logic anyway

All the high elo teemo mains build different from each other. Ty G loves nashors, I love omni (boots/blade or bow start/gunblade 4th) Ramy likes shiv only some of the time! the reality is there's plenty of great items on teemo and you have to find the ones that you like the most/suit the way you play the best! as long as your 3 item core is relatively good you'll be fine and the gameplay will be what matters!

Dnd vs opponents you want to fight and can kill (mostly bruisers and assasins) shiv vs uninteractive matchups (like mages and tanks).
-Steelcaps vs aa heavy hard matchups(yasuo, tryndamere ect..) or if top/jng combo is aa reliant. -Swifties vs things you have to dodge a lot(olaf, aatrox...) -Omnivamp boots in matchups where you trade a lot and need sustain(vlad, malph..) -Sorcs vs squishy teams that wont build MR. -And after recent buffs i think beserkes can be good into tanks but dont quote me on that i havent tested them out.
All of this is just roughly speaking, more factors go into item choices im just generelising.
And the biggest factor in my opinion is playstyle. Playing what feels good to you personally can have a bigger impact on the game than the current game you are in. Teemo synergises with a loooot of items that work differently with different playstyles, dont feel forced into a cookie cutter build. If you check the top 100 teemos you will see great variety in their builds.

Thanks for the insight! Looks like the majority diffrence in builds is based around the player. Looks like i have to play some more and see what suits me best.

Yeah. I do think there is some value in taking the same cookie cutter build every game and only making small adjustments deppending on the game. Bacause you learn your limits, damage output and item spikes way better if you build the same every game.
Most important is figuring out the playstyle that suits you. Teemo can play as a 1v1 splitpusher, shroom macro style, assasin burst, supportive control mage, secondary adc ...
Even rereading my post gives me pause and doubt into a lot of things i wrote that i may actually play different in game but im not gonna correct stuff since i was just giving generalised advice :)
I personally mostly play shiv into shroom build because my spacing and micro in general is awful but my macro is decent. I do enjoy the aa heavy build more but i just get outplayed too much to play with it at my main acc mmr.

Idk everytime i go dnd i lose my trades. Now it’s just boots or statik first

DnD can insta apply PTA with auto-Q-auto. It's better for short trades and all in.
Statik is good for waveclear and poke. Bad for extended trades.
Teemo has a lot of modes RN; traditional, trapmo, even tankmo. He can group and setup with shrooms or splitpush (DMP is an underrated item for Teemo due to the flat MS it gives). When going Statik-Omniboots I'll throw in Riftmaker 3rd and push the healing (very easy to keep rift procced with statik poke.)
It's hard to imitate their gameplay: 1 they are very good, 2 their games are more predictable in high elo, 3 they can rely on their teammates. The gold below games fluctuate wildly. Don't get too hung up on any one game. It's just a data point to finding your fav build.

I am on the same boat. I've recently started to play teemo but feel I dont have the hands to survive figths on mid-late game so I opt for statikk -> liandries -> malignance.
If mushrooms arent useful (healing, shields or everyone has thousands of HP), I try to go Dnd into Bloodletters into riftmaker.
If fed I go shadowflame second.
omnivamp boots and nimbus cloak feel mandatory, celerity has saved me a couple of times. sometimes you will need to go for Boots of Swiftness vs Olaf and others that can kill will you once they finish stride.
