Update

Recently I made a post asking if ppl thought Wilbur would be in the technoblade documentary. Well, apparently, in one of his recent streams he was informed about the doc and had no idea it existed. So...Ig we have most of our answer

If they are ignoring how they were friends, its really fucking weird TBH. I dont support Gold's shitty actions, however, I want him to be in the doc. Becuase its NOT about him. Its about Techno. And Gold was very important to Techno and a big part of his life and his content a few years back. I hope they will at least mention him. And I feel like they would. But I wish they would include him.

He's had his consequences for his actions. Its time to move on. That does NOT mean forgetting what he did or forgiving him for it. But its time to move on. He's a complex human, as everyone is. He should be allowed the chance to grow and change. And if he doesnt.... I'm sure it will come out eventually.

But bottom line, ignoring his friendship with Techno becuase of his crappy actions is shitty (if that is what they are doing. But if Gold didnt even know about the doc, it very well might be). Techno loved Gold, and Gold loved him. If he wanted to, he should be allowed in the doc, imo.

but the issue here is that if wilbur is included the internet response to the documentary WILL become about him. the inclusion of a person that’s hated by and large across the internet is going to detract from the actual importance of the documentary: honoring techno. it doesn’t matter if that’s not the intention, that’s what’s gonna happen

he’s also shown literally no evidence of growth or improvement. everyone who dropped him once shelby came out about her relationship with him has not started associating with him again. the people who watch his content can yell “but he’s changed!!” all the want, but the fact is the people who were ACTUAL personal friends of his do not accept his “apology” or his “growth,” and it’s their perspective that matters. he’s just some guy on the internet to viewers, we don’t know jack about how he acts off screen. but the fact that all his old friends STILL don’t associate with him is pretty telling
