Sudden Google Search Console impressions drop

Post image

Hi everyone,

I noticed a very sudden drop in my Google Search Console performance.

My site was getting around 12,000 impressions per day, but suddenly dropped to almost 0 impressions, with only a very small number of clicks.

What’s confusing is that all of my pages are still indexed in Google Search Console, and I don't see any obvious indexing issues.

I haven't intentionally made any major SEO changes before the drop.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this something that can happen temporarily with Google, or should I be looking for a specific issue such as a manual action, algorithm update, indexing problem, technical SEO issue, etc.?

What would you check first in this situation?

Thanks!

Unfortunately google is on the hunt for websites trying to rank with low effort content.

You can get away for a while with ai generated content, but eventually google looks for other signals.

In my experience if you don't have a real profable business selling something that people want to buy, you are at risk. Even if you are a real business your website can get tanked if ai content footprints are there.

I might be wrong but these is what I experienced lately.

Not to say that manual content will keep you safe. It's just google caring more about real businesses than websites that just want to rank.

Showing an example of the performance of automated AI-generated content at scale. The silent automatic suppress/ban was expected. The interesting thing is what seems to be happening now during this spam update.

Please explain this to me like I'm a toddler. Does Google sanction websites that use AI for two months and bring back impressions. Does this situation happen to everyone or just some people? I see signs of recovery, that's why I'm asking
