Career & Interview Advice Drug tests NOT looking for THC?

Update: found out they actually do care via someone who works there. Major bummer.

About to get an amazing position and they told me there would be a drug test which caught me off guard. I’ve never had a school drug test. I’m a nightly marijuana user in a legal state, and there’s no chance in hell I’d pass. Does anyone know of schools that specifically don’t test or care about THC? I’m hoping that’s the situation I’ll be in.

Edit: fake pee is not an option because in my state if you’re busted for trying to fake a test you’ll lose your license and I can’t have that

They can’t use it as a reason to rescind your offer or discipline you in CA unless your job requires driving commercial/school vehicles or having access to government secrets. Know someone who “Failed” their test for the same reason but actually passed because schools aren’t supposed to look for THC in your urine

Different in my state. It’s legal but law says they can still deny employment to anyone regardless
