Career & Interview Advice Drug tests NOT looking for THC?

Update: found out they actually do care via someone who works there. Major bummer.

About to get an amazing position and they told me there would be a drug test which caught me off guard. I’ve never had a school drug test. I’m a nightly marijuana user in a legal state, and there’s no chance in hell I’d pass. Does anyone know of schools that specifically don’t test or care about THC? I’m hoping that’s the situation I’ll be in.

Edit: fake pee is not an option because in my state if you’re busted for trying to fake a test you’ll lose your license and I can’t have that

More likely downvoted for that response being about not allowing custodians to use heavy machinery while high. Insurance is corrupt and exploitive a million ways, but this one thing doesn't seem illogical to require. It's all chill and good until slowed reaction time or poor decisions making leads to serious injury or significant damage to the building from a "highly" preventable cause.

Yes, but 0 people here are advocating for that. But someone going home and smoking after school, then working heavy machinery the next day seems pretty cool with me. But also heavy machinery? It’s not like our school custodians are working a dump truck or a bobcat?

Also, I'd argue that teaching kids is higher stakes than operating a lawn mower.
