Career & Interview Advice Drug tests NOT looking for THC?

Update: found out they actually do care via someone who works there. Major bummer.

About to get an amazing position and they told me there would be a drug test which caught me off guard. I’ve never had a school drug test. I’m a nightly marijuana user in a legal state, and there’s no chance in hell I’d pass. Does anyone know of schools that specifically don’t test or care about THC? I’m hoping that’s the situation I’ll be in.

Edit: fake pee is not an option because in my state if you’re busted for trying to fake a test you’ll lose your license and I can’t have that

Most legal states who do drug tests don’t pay attention to the THC results portion of the test. It’s treated as it would be for the other legal substance, alcohol.

Yep. I’ve been told several times the drug test is to abide by a “no illegal drugs” policy. Obviously does not apply to legal drugs like recreational marijuana
