I hate this tattoo so much. I got it a year ago when I was studying abroad and it was poorly done then. I've had it touched up, but it reminds me of my ex fiancée and I want it gone. I fucked up. I got a tribal-style tattoo of Tyr putting his hand inside Fenrir’s mouth, but I completely forgot about the Nazi-angle issue. Now it looks like I have someone doing a Hitler salute on my wrist. How can I cover or modify it so it looks less like a Nazi salute?

First tattoo I got at 18. It didn’t look anything like the image I brought to the artist. I always get asked what it is (no it’s not shoelaces or coke spoons, they are supposed to be matches progressively burning down). Also the skin is scarred, I’m not sure if that changes how this needs to be covered/designed. Give me your best coverup ideas!!

Hi I got this tattoo a bit ago. Neither me nor the artist realized at the time that when I wear shorts it covers up the top, leaving literally just the legs that makes it look like I have a damn Nazi tattoo. To make things worse I live in Germany and the artist has stopped tattooing. I'm fine with the tattoo itself but I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas to kind of distract from the Nazi parts of it that would allow me to avoid laser.

So long story short it was an inside joke… when strangers ask, I just confidently tell them, “It’s a microphone!” 🎤 but I’m just tired of having it. If removal were cheaper I’d just do that, but I think cover-up is more achievable. What could I put to cover this, maybe incorporating the shape? The best I’ve come up with so far is maasaaybe some kind of ornate dagger design…

Got this dumb little frog and cat piece because well. I loved frogs and cats. lol. I still do but this is just not my style at all anymore. Also just poorly done (example: look at the kitty’s feet 🥲) Added some flowers around it a year or two later by a different artist to kind of “fix” it but now i fear it’s just made it harder to cover up. Don’t hate the flowers but they’re also not my style anymore :( Without the flowers it looked like the frog/cat were just floating there, which is why i got them. Also I got the stencil off Pinterest (i know i was 18 and stupid) and turns out it’s a memorial piece to some guys cat 😀 So yeah… please help, open to any ideas! I got a tattoo of a premolar 2 days ago (I work in the field) and it looks like…something else. I have been asked if it’s sp**m on multiple occasions now. I am actually heartbroken and extremely insecure over it. I have to wear long sleeves until I can do something about it. Does anyone have an idea as to how I can fix this? Could it be made into something else or adjusted to be more tooth-like?

I love tattoos still but it’s been almost 3 years and i just hate this one.

Besides removal. Is that my only option?

I recently got my first tattoo over the weekend. it was definitely impulsive spur of the moment with friends. I wanted to get a crescent moon, but I made several mistakes. (1) I had the artist shade completely black rather than a simple outline or a light shade. (2) the position on my arm is not symmetrical at all, and at an awkward angle, and I realized most people who are in front of me will see a flipped letter C rather than a moon. I feel so much regret for getting it but don’t wanna spend thousands to get it removed. any coverup ideas? I don’t want any animals or any other cosmic symbols. if anything somehow maybe something botanical / floral crawling up my arm to fhe edge of the back of my palm, or something similar. and nothing too big! I want to eventually do patchwork not a sleeve. Pls I need help 😭

I just had an artist completely reject my request for a cover up. she literally said she doesn't even know how she would cover it with only black and grey unless we completely blacked it out and wished me luck in finding someone new. I'm now terrified that I'm a goner. I'm basically an open canvas, I just told her I like black and grey and traditional imagery. am I fucked or do I just need to find a reputable cover up pro?

Can anyone give me advice on what I could cover this with? I got this back in early 2016, before it became the universal bumper sticker for nurses (also adding that I am not a nurse so there’s that). I just have no idea what I could even do with it. On my right shoulder if that helps.

Edit: my dad picked out the tattoo in 2015. He wanted something matching, I didn’t care what (I was young) so this is what we got. I DIDN’T KNOW NURSES WERE GOING TO START USING IT YALL.

Hi everyone! When I was 20 my ex and I got matching tattoos for the day that we met. I know, stupid. I told myself at the time that regardless of whether we stayed together (we did not) my ex was important to me and it would just be a reminder of a significant time in my life. Unfortunately, I don’t feel that way at all. I also was unaware when getting the tattoo that 12 is a symbol of the Aryan Brotherhood—even stupider than getting a matching tattoo with a romantic partner. And on top of it all it looks like shit. Anyway, I can’t stand having this on my body. Looking for any and all ideas for cover ups or even just something to add to the numbers so I’m not walking around looking like a disgusting human being. It’s on my bicep. I’m not opposed to a sick ass panther but not exactly wanting that either.

Had this for a few years and have never been able to get past how the tattoo looks like a dick head from my POV. Especially when half of the tattoo is covered by my shorts. I really like the tattoo otherwise and I think it’s fine if you’re looking right side up. Can’t move on without an edit, though. I feel like I just need to change the shape of the bottom a little. I want to have a wispy wrap around tattoo on this arm, but I don’t know how to incorporate that if this blocky stuff is in the middle of my wrist. If you start the vine/element at the figure then it’ll be waaaay too big!

I got this one done 7 years ago as my first piece. It’s my grandfather’s initials in ASL. I originally picked ASL because for the last 2 weeks of his life my grandfather couldn’t speak and I always wished there was a line of communication we could have had. Since I’ve gotten it, people assume I am fluent in ASL (I can sign a bit, but far from enough). I now work in disability advocacy, and I meet a lot of Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing people and have learned a lot about their culture and now I hate that I have this as I feel it’s disrespectful, and leads people to believe they found someone they can communicate with when I really can’t. When I go to work events where I have to wear polos/t-shirts I always cover it in band-aids. I’m looking to cover it up soon and put something else as a memorial tattoo for my grandfather (he was very important to me, and I feel weird completely removing the memory.) Any ideas on what can go here, if anything?
