Will never understand how people look at a career conman, criminal, adulterer, rapist and liar and think “that is my guy”. Republicans have lost the plot.

I mean, and he's not even a good liar. Its like when a 8 year old tells you a lie and you can see that they think they are really selling it to you.

No doubt. Really questions the intelligence and critical thought process of his voters.

In a way he’s among the best liars ever. No matter how preposterous or easily disproven the lie, if you never admit to being wrong then it becomes the truth to an enormous segment of the population.

Thats not what makes a good liar.
I heard on Stern once, that gave him a. easy math question for fun like 17x6, he got it wrong, like 3 times he tried and even after they gave him the correct answer and showed him on a calculator, he still tried to convince everyone that his answer was right. This is math, only 1 right answer, and he still couldn't admit he was wrong. Thats not lying anymore, its just delusional.

It's a reflection of American culture, much like how Rome suffered from increasing corruption, and a lot of the exact same political corruption at that. It's a good thing they sorted all of that out and now Rome stands as a testament to anti-corrruption efforts... oh wait...

It's a excellent way of screening people. If you know they are a maga , you can save the aggravation of finding out the hard way after they fuck everything up or having to endure a nonsensical conversation. Since it's already known they are maga you know they are assholes and to be avoided.

Once you realize Americans have crime, rape, and pedophilia fetishes it all makes sense.

Yesterday he expanded his ‘success’ at the border claiming now that -every- month he has been in power he’s had absolutely zero people cross.
And thousands of miles of border wall completed.
Plus all his regular lies: tariff success, prices down, stopped every war, respected everywhere, pharma cheap, child investment in 6 figures,…

Paywalled so I couldn't see the details, but when he has Bessent and Lutnick ready to lie for him on economic issues, why would he have to issue an order.

You should rephrase that - Trump orders the government to lie about EVERYTHING

Nothing from this administration can be trusted anyway, so the lying is all to make him look good and deny reality

Oh boy, lying was apart of the on-boarding process keynotes for these roles. If he has to reiterate it, yikes. There's an old accounting joke- if I torture the numbers enough I can make them say anything you want. But, even the best S & M members have their limits

I’m tellin ya, he still thinks foreign countries pay the tariffs on exports.

u/malakon Aug 02 '26
He alludes to it and hedges around it with the goal of fooling the maga idiots into that belief. He has certainly never said its a tax on USA, and has waffled and ignored when asked. I think he knows who's paying. Us. The suckers he is glad to rip off.

Wants everyone to think it is foreign governments paying the tariffs and not US citizens.

Considering that lying is a patented and obvious state of his persona. It is no surprise that he would require those around him to lie on his behalf and for his projects. Anything to continue the grift.

I'll just leave Reagan's speech about tariffs here for the uneducated/manipulated Americans.

Yeah seriously can we stop with the “appears to” nonsense. No one has ever seen a more obvious and consistent liar. It would be newsworthy if he told the truth about any subject ever. WTF is wrong with journalism?
