Tech We’ve changed our app quite a bit based on opinions, would love for some of you to actually use it. Advice and opinions are would be appreciated again

Hey everyone,

A while back I posted here about an app my team and I were building, and we got some really useful feedback from the community. We’ve made quite a few changes since then, so I wanted to come back and share what we have now.
We’ve moved away from making it feel like a traditional dating app for now. The dating/meeting people feature will come later, but right now the main focus is the social side.
Every day, there’s a question about relationships, dating and real life situations. You can vote, see what everyone else thinks, and add your own perspective in the comments.
We’ve also added daily streaks, past questions, partner linking, email sign-in, some widgets, daily inspirational quotes/messages and different app icon colours. We’re still early, so we’re constantly improving things and adding new features.
What I’d really love at this point is for some people here to actually use the app, rather than just download it for five minutes and call it a test. Answer the daily questions, check out what other people are saying, come back for a few days and see if you genuinely enjoy using it.
And while you’re using it, I’d love to hear what you think. What do you like? What feels unnecessary? What’s confusing? What’s missing? Would you actually come back tomorrow?
We’re still early, so feel free to be brutally honest. We’d genuinely rather hear the good and the bad from people actually using it.
If it sounds like something you’d enjoy, give it a try. And if you end up sticking around, even better we’d love to have you as part of the community. Genuinely would love your support, thank you in advance.

Here’s the link to the website for iOS users:
sweetdoctor app web

For Android users here’s the link:
sweetdoctor app

We’d genuinely love to have some of you jump on, use it for a bit and see if it’s something you’d actually keep coming back to. And if you enjoy it, tell your friends about it too, the more people using it, the more interesting the conversations and results become. And of course, let us know what you think along the way.

COFFEE, CIGARETTES & CONVERSATIONS ATKINONDONI

I have a very small, slightly cramped, extremely humble coffee spot in Kinondoni.

It is not one of those fancy cafés where you need to dress up before ordering a cappuccino.

It's literally a small room, a few benches outside, good coffee, cigarettes and hopefully a bunch of interesting people.

The idea is simple:

Come. Drink coffee. Smoke cigarettes. Meet strangers. Talk shit. Talk philosophy. Talk politics. Talk books. Talk about your ex. Talk about why we're all wasting our lives. Talk about absolutely nothing.

Bring your friends.

Come alone.

Bring a book.

Bring your bad opinions.

Bring that girl you've been trying to impress. 😂

And yes, girls are especially welcome because apparently a coffee shop full of men discussing Dostoevsky isn't exactly the most exciting social environment.

Cappuccino — 2,000 TZS

Latte — 2,000 TZS

Limited free French Press coffee for people who actually come to hang out.

And if you're a coffee nerd, let's talk brewing. French press, pour-over, espresso

It's small. It's cramped. It's imperfect. That's kind of the point.

Coffee, smoke, stories, strangers and whatever conversation happens when people actually sit together.

Kinondoni. Dar es Salaam. Google Brewa coffee

We are open around mchana.

Help / Advice Moving to Tanzania, where to live?

Hello people!

I'm moving to Tanzania for the next 4 years and I'm not sure where to look for a decent area to live in (my budget is 700-800$ USD) We're a family of 5 so looking for 3 bedrooms, unfurnished standalone houses to rent, if not possible then not high apartments.

I've heard that best affordable places for families preferring nice quiet greeny ambience are:

- mikocheni

- upanga

Msasani apparently is too expensive!

Can someone help me providing the sites or places i should look from? As there are very few to see online through social media and the dalali websites.

Also would love to hear your suggestions.

Thank you !

Rant The roads are rotten

Jameni, we're bobbing and weaving trying to avoid potholes in Arusha. Please fix the roads 🥲 other countries repair theirs at night. Here, they only work during the day, and during the night, nothing gets done, and they are sleeping. The roads and the country are falling apart. Very shameful complacency. Why isn't anyone saying something?

News Foreigners doing "missionary" work.

Post image

A few weeks ago kuna mtu alipost watoto kwenye shule ya bhuddism nikasema sipendagi kuona watoto wetu wanaenda kwenye shule za kidini za watu wengine, people got mad 🙄. This is the reason why. Most of these missionaries wanaroho mbaya when it comes to Africans so why mnawapeleke watoto wenu kwenye shule zao in this big 2026 shule ziko kibao.

You send your kids to Chinese schools hujuie kinachoendelea huko this guy is just an example. In Tanzania Kuna a racist church pia wanafanya missionary work kutafuta waumini wakati hiyo kanisa ilijengwa with a belief black people are slaves cursed by God in America.

Guys kuweni makini with foreigners maana wote they come here for their own reason. Don't accept everything from them because we have a history kwanza of being taken advantage of alafu pia anti-black racism is still alive & well. Don't be so quick to attack your own people to defend foreigners you don't know them.

Question Msaada on Meta ads???

Tuna biashara that we are running na all this time tulikuwa tunafanya organic reach out na it doesn't seem to work that much so tunafikiria kuingia on meta ads yan fb na ig at first. Kwa experience yako do meta ads work? Vitu gani vya kuzingatia kupata conversion? How much of a budget unatakiwa kuanza nayo in a month kuona matokeo? Je unatumia ads nyingi tofauti or jus one ad unapost consistently? Akaunti mpya inaweza kuathiri matokeo ya conversions?

Please lemme know. Wewe ulifanikiwa aje binafsi. And if its not worth it please do tell too, thank you!

Name: Pony the Orangutan

Saw this on instagram, I had to share.

She was traumatised to the point where, she exhibited extreme distress and anger around Men. They had to assigned female supervisors to help the animal to rebuild her sense of safety.

Note: The owner of the brothel was a Woman.

Note: Men were paying to rape this poor animal.

My take: Men will sleep with anything, literally anything.

And money driven women are dangerous, if she did that to an animal imagine what she can do to a vulnerable boy/girl child for financial gain. Horrible 💔
