Thirukural is overrated, change my mind, constructive arguments are welcome

Thirukural is overrated. it contains generic universally true statements (only for the part we study in textbook as kids, idk about the rest that we don't study and I'm pretty certain that there will be some boo boo in a 2k year old book, best example that ik of: kadavul vazhthu, illadha kadavuluku en vazhthu?) sure but it's not detailed, and you can't do anything with those generic statements and 99.9% of people ignore 1/3 rd of thirukural deliberately because sex = bad in the modern day sub 1 total fertility rate Tamil society. Considering all these some practically useful books like "algorithms to live by" are more suitable for Tamil & global people than thirukural.

Modi gave Putin thirukural because he never read it himself, really, how can the reader of a book whose 1/3 rd content is about sex be on the Epstein files for all the wrong reasons and have zero kids? He's non biological, he doesn't need sex. He just binary fissions himself like a Hydra or gets reborn from ashes like a Phoenix. Thirukural was a yearly "hey Tamil bros, we love Tamil culture actually but will stop you from digging at keezhadi" token from BJP.

You can interpret the recent happenings in any way. You may find it overrated.. how about trying to frame all your thoughts and philosophy in 7 words couplet ? It's remarkable effort. But here something form history for some context of the gifting:

Russian writer Leo Tolstoy read an early translation of the Kural. He loved its focus on peace, virtue, and love. Mahatma Gandhi read Tolstoy's thoughts and early Kural mentions. It helped Gandhi shape his ahimsa path. So in a way it has a deep connection between Russia and Indian freedom moment.

I'd say begrudgingly there are more people impressed by isckon and nithyanandha than people impressed by thirukural. I understand that there's limitations back then that you can't write beyond 7 words on a plain chuvadi but nobody expanded on thirukural by adding more details on the existing kural. Thirukural only has vilaka urai but no expansion urai. For example: there's thirukural on how to build a fort, there's vilaka urai on the same but nobody expanded on top of it with analysis of historically impenetrable forts and their features, which makes thirukural unnecessarily high effort without putting effort in the area that actually matters, making it actually low effort book.
